Heido gots a full time ride

What exactly is the World Berries sponsor on Hideo's car, anyway. I doubt they'll be the full-time sponsor next year...

You know RPM, perhaps we should stop airing our life stories in this forum and instead talk about it face-to-face since we sit six feet apart every day almost all day.

I don't know what you are talking about Ciggie... shhhhh... hehe....

So how about all those projects that we have...and the fact that I hate my groups...:p

Hey, I'm at least trying to redirect the conversation to Hideo Fukuyama!

OK so what do you want to discuss about Hideo? Let's play guess what his sponsor(s) is(are) for next year

I think that was one of the original points of this post. I can't imagine what it could be, maybe some electronics company like Toshiba or Sony. That would make a lot of sense since most of those are made over in Japan, why not support their Japenese driver?

Makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a myriad of sponsors together, you know each take a couple race. That might seem more feasible for him.

It would probably just be one big sponsor. Since electronic companies like Sony and Toshiba compete, I doubt they'd want to share the car during the season.

Maybe World Berries will come back fulltime instead of just being on the quarterpanels.

But what is World Berries? Do we eat World Berries products and not know it or something?

I think he did a great job of staying out of trouble untill late in the race. Then he spun and hit the wall don't know what happen. My thoughts are his age. He is starting a little late inthe game. I heard he is in his late 40s. That is a little late to have much sucesse is it not. I know a lot of older drivers like Eliot and Martin are stil running strong but they have ben in Nascar for years. But next year he will be an old rookie.

Dick Trickle was an old rookie. I don't believe he didn't run for rookie of the year until his 40's, but like Fukuyama, had been racing in other series for years.

Dave Blaney is going to be turning 40 soon and he was only a rookie two years ago.

So who says you have to be young to be a rookie? Not all drivers have noteworthy last names or are immediately recognized for their talent. Doesn't mean they don't deserve a shot.

I would rather see somebody from another country get into a really good car and have a good team. Driving for those teams that can hardly afford tires isn't going to show them to the world in a good way.

There is nothing wrong with being an old rookie. The more experienced they are the better I think.

I know he has been driving for years, I know Dick trickle was an old rookie, And last but not least there is nothing wrong with being a old rookie. Hay you all jumped lik iI gave the man a cussing or something. I hope the man does good. But he is comming into Nascar when other drivers his age are thinking retirement. And once again I hope the man does well.

Hideo would be better served with some seasoning in a lower series.

His effort next year will most likely be nothing more than a curiosity.

I expect little.

Not jumping on you Gollum, just saying.

RockChalk, I'm pretty much in the same boat with you on this one. They want to see how Hideo can do in Cup, but I don't think the team will be able to perform that well, partially b/c it almost never has. But hey, if they get a sponsor, why not go for it?

I agree with you RPM, but if they have the money they should go for it. I would feel bad for Hideo if he gets booted though. He's worked hard to get here, I hope he does well.

I've no problem with them going for it, but I hope they (the sponsors) are prepared for the common occurrence of appearing on the DNQ list.

Watch him win the points since we are talkin so much trash about him lol:p

That would suck though cause I dont like him for some reason(not cause he is japinese)
