He was pretty excited. We like to run good in Vegas because that is where two of our sponsors are located. The Casino Royale and Really Stupid Fast Racing Apperal. The weekend didn't start out so good though. We had put a new bullet in the car before we left Gainesville Fl, and when we fired it up for warm up before first round of qualifying it didn't have any oil pressure, so we had to pull it out and put another one in. It turns out that the soft plug behind the camshaft gear had been left out when it was put together. That was an easy fix and it was ready for the next day. Then in the first round of qualifying it started to spin the tires on the top end and it kicked a rod out of it. We hadn't done that in a long time, but fortunately it didn't get any oil on the track. The car has been a pig and the tuning window has been pretty small for the last year and it just hasn't been performing like it used to, so Sat night we changed the slide valve and all of the clutch management system, and in the first round of eliminations on Sun it would have ran a low teen if it hadn't ran out of fuel due to the fact that it took so long for them to get Wilkersons car off the track after he broke on the burnout. That caused the motor to lean out on the top end and bang the blower and blow the windshield out of the car. The car ran another teen in the second round so now we think that we may have our old race car back again. It will take a couple of races before we know for sure but the tuning window seemed a lot wider and it was responding to changes a lot better on Sun. This race put us in the top 10 in points, and we received our second Hardest Working Crew Award on Sunday. That pays the crew an extra $3000.00. I stayed in Vegas for a couple of extra days and watched the Force girls test, and now I'm at the truck wash in Knoxville Tn, and then I will be heading to Mooresville Nc later today. We can't park and setup until Wed so I have a lot of time to kill. I hope you run good this year and can get a few wins.
