Possibly, I just don't find the race being dominated by 2 drivers and the cars running single file for the first 15 positions being very interesting. To each their own.

I agree with no bonous based on a single championship race like today.

If they were counted a hypothetical 2nd place car with no laps led could be tied by a 3rd place car with laps led. With most laps led he could even surpass the car that finished a position ahead of him, or in other words a third place car could overcome the second place car in the final points standings (among the final four drivers).

Given those options I prefer they don't count and that the final points position for the top four should be based entirely on the finishing order.

I'll admit that I haven't been paying much attention to the lead. I've mainly been watching Newman's progress and the battling that the other Chasers have been doing.

Granted he is having a tough time today, but the kid is a good driver and has performed well in the K&N East.
He ran a good cup race at Michigan earlier this year.
