Hamlin broke it first with a hot lap of 18 something during the first round and Kyle did also run under 19 seconds to get the pole.

The rest of them guys ran in the lower 19s.

As a NuuYawker, I'm just happy I have local tracks now. The racing at New Smyrna in FL was awesome. Ace is pretty close too, and they put on a good show. Thanks for the tips, Andy and Groundpounder.

I've belonged to many forums in the past, starting in the mid 90s with IRace --- I think. Most degenerated into flame wars between posters ---- the nasty comments were just horrible. A couple of others were designed as race forums, but most of the threads were "good morning", "how is school/work/vacation", "what's the weather", etc. ---if they mentioned a race or a driver it was briefly and only in passing.

I came here when the original owner/creator first opened --- early 2001.

Dont know if you missed this post but here were the results.

The track record was beat by Hamlin in the first round. No one other than Kyle ran under 19 seconds during the second round so not sure where Logano comes into place here.

I'm guessing the top 3 broke the old track record? I dont pay attention to those things.
