When I am on a, say, news site, and there is a video involved with the news message and it just starts playing without my wanting it to. I want to turn this function off.

If it's a site that you log into, some of them have a preference for that in your settings. Wish I knew a surefire way to do it across the board, but I don't. Sorry.
