Excellent photos........ especially Fireball.......... post 730 caught my eye..... that '56 Ford...... on the rear quarter it said 'owned and operated by Curtis Crowder. '
I bought his autobiography 25 years ago while at Daytona. The title of it is..... 'The road to Daytona'. It is a great read about his life and times. I have read it 2 or 3 times and in fact even conversed with his family. Some how or other...... about 15 years ago, I read where someone wanted to know if there was a copy out there anywhere. . They were his family, I sent the book to them..... after a while, they returned it to me. That Christmas I received a Christmas card from them. Last year, I managed to track down part of the family. I wanted to give the book to them because of the family ties. Whoever I talked to seemed disinterested........
