How many races did you attend this season?

I saw a crazy late model race at Ace that ended with a bonehead wrecking the points leader so his teammate could win the championship, but it didn't work. Race ended with 6 cops on pit road. I also got to see a sprint car cart wheel down the track, thank fully with no injuries.

Then to M'ville for the VifR lovers late model race. Awesome side by side all night, and a ton of crazy sheet going on all day.

a couple of weeks later, I watched Bubba Wallace battle the hell out of Ty and beat him on the outside for the M'ville win. Throw in Ty vs Harvick, and it was an awesome day.

On Sunday, I got to watch Jeff win.

My first 4 times at a track worked out real well. Quality over quantity.

Man up... that's only 300 miles. I've done that more than a few times this year. My mileage logs are an absolute comedy.

I'm getting ready to drive down 717 miles for the Snowball.
Finally decided to go to this thing. Long day ahead but I'm looking forward to it.

Ace is a badass track - one of the best in the region.

I only saw one and it was Speedfest at Watermelon Capital Speedway. Was not as good as it was the first year that's for sure as they kept wrecking at the end of it.

NASCAR just two, Texas Spring Race and Phoenix Fall Race. Not a whole lot of tracks near El Paso. Did get to some short track racing in North Vernon Indiana when I was there TDY.

This year? 398! Okay, so maybe that's a lie. :) I just went to two. The Martinsville Spring race and a small dirt track here in Arkansas called West Siloam Springs speedway that no one has likely heard of. I'm currently planning a trip to Talladega with my dad next year in May. We'll likely make a it a five day trip, watching the Arca, Nationwide and Sprint cup races. Got the savings started and I've already put in vacation for it. I'm in the same boat as most others. Money is tight and at the Sprint Cup level...Kansas and Texas are the only two tracks within an 8 1/2 hour drive.

West Siloam Springs! Nothing like a night at the track followed by an early morning at the Cherokee Casino and breakfast at Cathy's Corner.

None this year. Just moved to a new location, but there is a 1/4 mile dirt track about 20 mins. away that I plan on attending in the spring. AMS is about an hour and a half away but money is an issue.

Not sure on local dirt track races, i stopped counting along time ago.
3 Cup (2 Dega, 1 Ky)
2 Nationwide (Dega, Kentucky)
1 ARCA (DuQuion)

0. Nobody to go with, plus the only close tracks (ones that host NASCAR races, anyway) are Watkins Glen and Pocono...ehh. Might make an effort to go to WG next year since it's only about an hour away.
Ouch! You live in Syracuse, you are surrounded by legendary dirt tracks, and you go to 0 races?

Had a banner year, but didn't got to any NASCAR tracks.

16 different tracks in 7 different states (nowhere near Mr Toledo though....he's my idol) for 36 races.

I mean NASCAR races. I make an effort to go to Dirt Week at the NY State Fair every year, and I made it to a couple of dirt races at a track not too far from here. Still haven't experienced a NASCAR race in person, though :( I'm planning on Watkins Glen next summer.

OK, you're forgiven then. ;)

LOL, thanks although it might not be as impressive if you saw how little money is left in my bank account after race season! Just barely scraping by after that! Had a pathetic year last year (only made it to about 12 or 13 events in 2012 ) so I had to try to make up for it in a big way this year.

I make an effort to go to Dirt Week at the NY State Fair every year,

Have had that race on my list for a long time! I was gonna do the Fri, Sat, Sun portion this year but had some car problems on Thurs and had to wait for a part to come in from ebay. Seems like a really cool event, i've watched it on Speed channel a few times before. I love the mile dirt fair tracks in Illinois.

Well, looks like I'm adding the Myrtle Beach 400 to my list.
I wish Hooters Pro Cup(not CARS X1R Pro Cup) still went there. My mom lives out there so i'd have a good excuse to go to that one. Maybe K&N will run there someday. Get a mom visit/race double.

Pro Cup is sad right now.
I'd really rather see the series just die at this point (actually a few years ago), used to be a great series. Now they have what, about 10 cars that show up? And Clay Rogers wins 90% of the races? Pretty pointless. Amazing that guys like Joey Logano and Trevor Bayne got their start in it. I remember Gibbs and JR Motorsports even had driver development teams in that series. Dale Jr always got his fulltime(before he fired them half way through the year) Busch series drivers from his Pro Cup team.

Super Cup, which runs older Pro Cup cars, gets more cars than Pro Cup.

Pro Cup should become a Late Model tour. That $10k payout, they'd get 30+ cars every race easily.

I've never heard of Super Cup.
If it became a late model tour it really wouldn't be pro cup anymore, although it really isn't now either. Should just die off. Not really sure what good the series is doing anyone (other than Clay Rogers and his team picking up all of the paychecks). Who is paying that $10,000 to win anyway? I can't imagine it's the tracks, i'm sure the 10 cars of the pro cup series is not getting fans in the seats. Last I checked K&N usually pays about $5,000-$7,000 for the win on a short track.

Aren't the K&N cars allowed in Pro Cup as well? I remember at Langley (I think), Pro Cup changed the rules and let Chase Elliott bring his K&N car to the race - but I'm not sure if that was a permanent thing or not.

ARCA cars were allowed at some point too i think. I think they got rid of that rule though. I'm not sure though, don't really keep up with the series too much anymore.

I just remember the Langley deal, thought it was egregious. It'd be the equivalent of letting someone unload an unrestricted Sprint Cup car in an ARCA or Nationwide race so they can get 250 laps of practice in race trim.

I think they placed some kind of handicap on them. I don't know if it was weight or what. Something to help make it a little more equal. It did seem pretty silly having them do that. I had no idea they even were actually successful at getting one of those cars there. Hearing of Chase Elliot being there with a K&N car was the first i've heard of it.

Just thought of Myrtle Beach and Pro Cup. The old Hooters Pro Cup home office was there. One of the routes to get there from my place, I actually pass the old office, there was still an old Hooters Pro Cup sign outside of the building. Not sure if its still there, i don' t usually go that way, its been a year or 2 since i went that way.

I'm embarrassed to say none. I simply don't have the funds nor the time to travel to a track. I live paycheck to paycheck, just no money to go to any races.

And, USAC will be back this year, adding the Silver Crown cars to the event. Yup, it's on my bucket list too.

The USAC cars are always fun to watch at Duquoin and Springfield so that should be good!
