How many tracks have you been to?

Sonoma from 2002 to 2014 I went to every race
Fontana
Las Vegas
Chicagoland
Michigan

I drove by Chicago Motor Speedway just prior to it being destroyed. I haven't been to many tracks since I have lived most my life in California, other than the time I spent in college in Michigan.

Martinsville has always had great ticket prices! I paid $45 for a great seat in 2003! At that time they easily could have charged $75 for it...
Yep. (Just so the person i was replying to knows) I was actually talking about darlington this time. They both seem to have dirt cheap tickets. Imagine that, the two best tracks are the cheapest.

Would you believe none ?

Yes, I was the only one in my entire family that followed NASCAR and still am. I grew up in the Chicago area and if it wasn't Cubs, Bears, or Bulls related, no one was interested. So not only was my family not interested, my friends weren't either. So that makes it tricky to find a race to attend when no one wants to go.

If you have friends that are in to it, I suggest you save the money and make the trip.

Talladega
Atlanta
Charlotte
Darlington
Bristol
Daytona

I think that is going to be it for me. I don't have the stamina any more. I got to see a Bristol night race and a Daytona 500. Getting to those races was huge for me. I'm happy. :)

Daytona
Darlington
Wilkesboro.....Davey won that day
Dover
Richmond....back when it was a real race weekend......modified, trucks, busch then cup race...4 nights of racing
Talladega......favorite.....going back in October
Charlotte
Martinsville
Pocono
Texas

Hampton
South Boston

No shame in going alone. My wife was out of town, so I drove to Michigan this last weekend. Not much need for a friend to talk to anyway with the engine noise!

Since my father got past 75, I don't go as often, and go alone more often than with company. No big deal; we've all got a few thousand friends at the track that we just haven't met yet.

Geez..some of you guys have been all over the place... :)
I have only been to Daytona (Homestead coming up in Nov)..hopefully will go again next summer.. :)
Although I had the pleasure of doing the Track VIP tour, very very cool to see everything inside out, if you ever have the chance, do it, it is well worth it!

I attended 3/4 races alone this year. I'm single with no kids and value the freedom. There's nothing wrong with doing things solo! I have a hard enough time getting 1 or 2 people together to go golfing....

I went to Martinsville alone a few years ago. I loved it. Got up at 3am, even though I'm only about an hour and 20 minutes from the track. Got there at like 5 am. After the race, stayed and watched victory lane. Walked around, left when I wanted to. Honestly, I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Perfect! A few days ago when I mentioned I was going to a concert alone, the person I was talking to had a laugh about it. If you want to do something but aren't able to find someone to do it with, should you just stay home and cry about it, or should you go anyway and enjoy it alone? I'd rather take the second option any day. My dad is the only racing fan I know and since he works basically every Saturday night, I often times find myself going to the local race track by myself and believe it or not...I still enjoy it.

Anyway...back on topic. :)

I go golfing with you. I don't play, but the birdwatching is usually pretty good.

Wow! I have never been to a live race. I'm a track virgin.

Somewhat embarrassed to say only Pocono and Dover, (and Dover only once) although I would guess I've seen 25 races at Pocono. I should go to the Glen next year for sure, as it is equidistant from me to Pocono. That would make a three race Cup season for me at a live event which is cool. Dover is a hike for me, probably 6 hours. Maybe Richmond should be next on my radar, or Bristol. I've driven to Blacksburg before. Bristol ain't that much further from the north, eh?

Might have left some off, don't know.

Nashville might be a trip I make this fall. Might hit some of the big winter races this year too.

If we're naming short tracks, add Big Diamond, Penn National, and Port Royal in PA. I also visited the museum at Indy and had the ride-around but never saw a race there.

Lemme drive the cart.

Last Saturday, late afternoon. Tenth hole water hazard. The Great Blue Heron thought he had me fooled.

Never been to Bristol although had 2 chances to go to the night race with suite tickets..... (I know this is is an abomination to most...... but.... I'm not a short track fan)

Most of the races I have attended have had suite tickets.... but........ I enjoyed sitting in the grandstands much more......

I've had the chance to go to Bristol many times but never pulled the trigger. I just have no interest to sit in that giant tin can for 3.5 hours given what they did to track. I'd love for them to eliminate seats so one end is opened up.

Martinsville is my favorite short track. Just enough seats, real beatin' and bangin', awesome ticket prices and a beautiful surrounding area you can see....

I go deep sea fishing almost every weekend alone.....at first was hesitant but after one trip realized there's 50 new friends to be made on the boat....so not really alone anymore

I enjoy taking the boat out alone once in a while. I try to take every safety precaution because when I go in the Gulf it's a long way to shore. Fishing is my laugh out loud just because I can time.

Clarksville, as in southern Indiana? I've been trying to get there for years. My in-laws live in Kentuckiana but when we visit I am somehow never able to get over there. One sister-in-law lives less than three miles away.

Now I feel guilty...
