Does anybody know anyone with one? I'm thinking about getting it. For some reason, ATT MyWireless claims i'm up for an upgrade, but it's only been 1.5 years since i got this phone (LG Vu). I have to work tomorrow (I work for the government, but I don't get the bank holiday off) so I'm thinking about going up to the AT&T corporate store on way home to see if they have one for me to tinker with in-store.
 
I remember reading that AT&T was alowing all their subscribers to upgread (mostly because of the new iPhone 4) if they haven't upgreaded this year.

I'm with Sprint, so I really don't keep up with the doins of AT&T.

Not sure about the phone you are referring to, but if you have ATT service, you can upgrade every 18 months. You only have to sign a NEW two year agreement. Oh, and of course pay the cost difference of your new phone!! :D

yea, the guy explained that to me in the store. I didn't know that...

So i went to the ATT store. I'm up for upgrade, however, apparently you have to switch to a "smart phone" data plan, which is $15 more than my current data plan, which is "unlimited data plan".

Is it me, or are they charging 2.5 times for the exact same thing?

unlimited data- $10
limited data for smart phones- $15
unlimited data for smart phones- $25

talk about a ****ing monopoly.

Well, the data plan for my iphone is $30/mo. There are some folks who use the "smart phone" as their internet connection. What all exactly does your data plan include?

tethering is now $20 dedicated charge. Your $30 package should now be the $25 2G/mo package, i'm gonna get the $15 200M/mo plan.
