Humpy's Hot Topic: What's Wrong With NASCAR?

before you were born, I was going to dirt tracks, drag races, boat races with Allison engines in them... I've forgot more about racing than you know. Your stick n ball B.S. ya got me there.

So you're telling me a 500 mile Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway is better than a 150 lap PASS race at Hickory or a 100 lap dirt late model race at Eldora or a 200 lap late model race at Langley? :bsflag:

If Nascar racing is so bad..then why the hell are ya watching it? don't make a bit of sense to me. That is why I quit watching stick n ball years ago..it sucks if ya ask me.

If the racing was as good as it was in the 90s and 2000s, the ratings wouldn't be in a constant downward trend. This is simple logic.

Yes, StandOn****, I bow to your supreme knowledge of everything oh wise one. Just like SSBobW55, you've been everywhere and seen it all.

Obviously, anyone who doesn't think NASCAR is the best racing ever and NASCAR drivers are the best drivers ever aren't fans and don't know anything.

And the PASS tv ratings ? How would we measure them against Nascar's .? For comparison purposes I mean . Would you say they are low ? Or non existant?

Well if ya been to that many, you should know that a race can break out on any track, short or long. I have been to some real yawners, and some stand up and screamers at the same track.

You keep using that stat and it is incorrect..ALL sports ratings in general are down. And by the way dude, don't go there, I was trying to have a conversation about it. no need to act like a two year old.

I'd rather watch the worst race in the history of Kingsport Speedway than watch a 500 mile NASCAR race at Texas.

First race I went to in Texas, Kurt Busch and Greg Biffle were kids and driving trucks. seemed like I could see the track for twenty miles away out there in the flat Texas plain. Been to Kansas too.

once you young fellers get on ss...

........think ya'll will find tv racin quite entertainin.......an cheap beer...quite tasty ! ha!

Comparing a small track with local talent to Nascar is tough to do. Sure, they have their good and bad points. But damn, if you despise one style or the other quit watching or going there. I like my local tracks ok, cheap to get in and the show is how they set up to run the races. the owner is Emmit Hann, career racer, used to watch him race a sprint at the fairgrounds in the early 70's. but the entertainment is how fast he gets the heat races started. I have never been to a track anywhere that is a quick to get the last race off and the other underway. He does the Chilli Bowl the same way.
