IE11 Issues

I'm running 64 bit Windows 7, I installed IE11 update last night before bed. Got home today and was unable to post a reply in any thread. I thought TRL had me whacked :D
Anyone else having IE11 issues using Windows 7?

I just uninstalled IE11 (which reverted back to the previous version) and now I'm able to post again.
I'm running my mouth like a hen in a quilt circle :D

Oh no not the hen mouth syndrome.
 
Here's a step by step manual on how to fix Microsoft Internet Explorer problems.

Step one: Move the cursor over the address bar.
Step two: Type in google.com/chrome and press enter.
Step three: Click "Download Chome".
Step four: Install.
Step five: Set Chrome as default browser.

Problem fixed.
 
Couple of days ago my email quits working :mad:
I use Microsoft Outlook so I don't get any spam BS. I could receive but couldn't send.
The SSL box on the SMTP side became unchecked. How does that happen??? Can it happen with a Outlook update?
Took me a bit to figure it out.
 
Chrome is my main browser. Firefox is my backup browser. IE is my backup backup browser.
 
yes the IE11 issue is a known issue. If we are in any kind of distant luck (I'm talking all the planets being aligned in perfect formation), @fury (or I) MIGHT have time over winter break (whatever that is) to see what went haywire with Xenforo.
 
I've got IE11, I think, as that's the only thing they'll allow me to install on the newfangled windows tablets. I'll see if I can take a looksee. I've got a backlog of stuff to do, though. Tomorrow I've got to play about a week's worth of catch up for work since I was sick all week and had a final today
 
I don't know where people go or what they do that causes them so much grief with IE as I have never had an issue with it except that I couldn't find a way to turn off tabbed browsing in IE11 so I dumped it. That's not a performance problem but rather a personal choice.
 
Firefox is my main browser because with the Adblock Plus addon it seems to block ads better than other browsers. I've been playing with Chrome but haven't warmed up to it yet. I use IE when I have to (some sites require it but there are fewer of those now).
 
AdBlock is great. I get the need for ads but when I load a page, I shouldn't be forced to watch a 30 second commercial.

My main thing with IE is that it's slow, not a good design, and it's annoying (keeps asking me to use Smartscreen and all that crap every time I start it up). And it ALWAYS has some specific issue to it that web developers have to keep spending time on fixing. Feels like it's still stuck in 2001. A lot of people who just stick with the default IE get a lesser browser experience than they can get with a properly decked out Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. Nothing's perfect, but at least the built in browser on a Mac or an iPhone (Safari) is half decent.

One of these days, IE will actually adhere to web standards properly, and we won't have little things happen like this.
