Maybe we aren't giving Kyle enough credit here. Perhaps upon receiving the treasured trophy in victory lane, he was immediately able to determine that it was nothing more than a cheap imitation. He was simply trying to expose Sam Bass for the fraud that he is. He was trying to do a service for the art community as a whole. In doing so, his actions were completely misunderstood as disrespecting the work of a NASCAR artist. Realizing that he would be unable to prove his theory in victory lane, he concocted the story of wanting to give a piece of the trophy to each of his crew members. Unbeknownst to the media and fans, he was merely trying to bide time until he could get the guitar back to the shop where he was finally able to prove his theory that it was nothing more than an imitation, fraud or forgery. However, by this time, the backlash was at such a fever pitch that Kyle's claims were now falling on deaf ears. Turns out Kyle was only looking out for the good of all people in the art world. Kudos to the misunderstood Kyle Busch..
