If biffle wins the southern 500....

Petty.jpg

In honor of the throwback Southern 500, we should bring back this celebration :D. Brian France's head would explode.

I agree wholeheartedly..... It might have been ''cute'' the first time or 2 ....... but after seeing it 500 times..... it's not ''cute'' anymore...... just take the victory lap and go to victory lane..... spare us the childish antics about how your 800 horsepower car can obliterate a pair of Goodyears......

I hope Nascar DOES make a ruling against it....and I don't like more rules.... !!!!!!!

When you go into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Vince Lombardi

My preference is that the burnout be banished as these sillyassed things have taken on a life of their own and besides many of the drivers are doing them just to screw up their cars for post race inspection. To paraphrase the great Coach Lombardi "when you win a race, act like it isn't the first time."

She manages her equipment well for sure...if she won at this historical track, this historic race, the internet would burn down

JMO, but if DP ran a smart race and led a lot of laps or made a daring move and won I think the people on here would be really happy for her. I was tickled pink that Larson got his first win and would feel the same way if DP did the same.

Aside from turning Hornaday headfirst into the wall under caution in that truck race at Texas a few years back, the guitar smash was probably Kyle's douchiest move.

History channel had already set up a 20 episode documentary series after the Busches retire.
It will be called the "Busches Douchiest"

if Greg Biffle wins at Darlington, KB will smash a guitar?

What is the secret meaning behind this post? did Greg bifle do something at darlington?

You can tune in to an f1 race if you don't like watching bad fast cars putting on a celebration of their own.

I guess I just don't appreciate childish antics as much as you.
So is spending $15,000,000 a year, plus driver wages, racing in circles to see who is fastest considered mature and worldly?

If I had promised my crew a hunk of guitar and it belonged to me, I’d have busted it.

The Sam Bass “original” art work was a lacquered over decal. They found out when they put it on a band saw. Prior to the decal being applied, it was an off-the-shelf Gibson.

This is about like people still making jokes about Montoya smacking the jet dryer.

I'm quoting this for truth. The indignant outrage is funnier now than it was the day Busch did it.

Lol, Sam Bass designed the decal, though! Don't act like this doesn't mean Kyle Busch is a douchebag.

I hate that people joke about the JPM crash. He's caught so much internet **** over that. A ****** part broke.

Yep. A high quality Sam Bass wrap that ended up on a dozen low-end Gibsons.

That Kyle Bouche has a lotta' nerve. He roond his own cheap trophy

Where can I read about this tidbit of news? I've not heard this claim before now. Got a link?

What is the secret meaning behind this post? did Greg bifle do something at darlington?
The original post showed a picture of Alan Kulwicki. After winning, Alan would do his famous 'Polish Victory Lap', driving around the track in a clockwise direction. This put his side of the car facing the grandstands, which let Alan wave to the crowd. He could see them, they could see him.

Alan was sponsored by Hooters. This weekend, Greg Biffle is sponsored by Hooters. So if Greg wins, DanicaFreak thinks Greg should so a Polish lap to honor Alan.

Next week we'll discuss the rise and decline of trophy girls.

I didn't know that, and your post implies that Kyle didn't know at the time either. He could have given the strings to the crew.

I still think Kyle looked like a jerk, regardless of the monetary value of the guitar or artwork. If he wanted to smash something up, the car would have been the appropriate counterpart to a rock star's guitar. But, it's his trophy to do with as he chooses.

Maybe we aren't giving Kyle enough credit here. Perhaps upon receiving the treasured trophy in victory lane, he was immediately able to determine that it was nothing more than a cheap imitation. He was simply trying to expose Sam Bass for the fraud that he is. He was trying to do a service for the art community as a whole. In doing so, his actions were completely misunderstood as disrespecting the work of a NASCAR artist. Realizing that he would be unable to prove his theory in victory lane, he concocted the story of wanting to give a piece of the trophy to each of his crew members. Unbeknownst to the media and fans, he was merely trying to bide time until he could get the guitar back to the shop where he was finally able to prove his theory that it was nothing more than an imitation, fraud or forgery. However, by this time, the backlash was at such a fever pitch that Kyle's claims were now falling on deaf ears. Turns out Kyle was only looking out for the good of all people in the art world. Kudos to the misunderstood Kyle Busch.

I kid because I care.

I'd hope you are right

Heard from people in Charlotte that KB received a letter of commendation from Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.
