I know that if I posted the question, 'What driver do you want to win the title?', you'd all choose your favorite. If your favorite can't do it, who do you want to see win and why? Who don't you want to see win and why?

I'm somewhat split between Clint Bowyer and Brad Keselowski but I think I'll go Brad. IMO this guy has matured quite a bit over his career and I think he'd represent the sport well. I think he'll do pretty well on the talk show circuit promoting the sport. I want to see someone win it that has not won it before. This sport is in desperate need of that IMO.

Jimmie Johnson is something that this sport does not need holding the Cup high after Homestead. No offense to you Double J fans out there but I think the only one that would see this as something good would be you. You & maybe Yankee fans. Dominance only breeds disdain among the rest of the fan base and that's not needed at all. Well, unless it's Jr.

As for the question, I'd have to go with Jeff Gordon, mainly because he is a good driver and I know he tries weekend after weekend to put up good numbers for his team.

Now as for JJ's dominance not being a good thing. What do you want him to do honestly? I mean, last year Tony Stewart proved that it is possible to de-throne Johnson, 11 drivers need to get up on the wheel and race!! Of course I'm still pulling for Johnson to win #6.

I'm not asking Johnson to do anything. Like you said, the others need to step up their game and kick his a$$. I was simply stating who I didn't want to see win and why.

I'm almost 50-50 on who I want to win and who I don't want to win.

I don't want to see Harvick or Biffle win cause I can't stand either of them, especially Biffle. I don't want Truex or Bowyer to win cause I can't stand Waltrip but I actually like both drivers.

I'm not a Johnson or Dale Jr. fan but I am indifferent to them winning or losing.

I don't really want to see Brad K win either. I'd like him more if he didn't run his mouth so much in a stupid fashion. I usually like the guys who trash talk and stir the pot but with him he does it in a matter that I don't care for.

Hmmm...

Probably Jimmie because it would be another one for HMS and would piss off a bunch of people. Haha

I would like Harvick to win it (in spite of often being a jerk, but here are the ones I could tolerate in order of preference

1. Johnson (I think he is underrated and under appreciated, it would pass off some as Matthew2470s noted.
2. Stewart a classic hard nosed racer
3. Brad K, an exceptional talent would be higher on my list if was in a Chevy.
4. Kahne his skills are underrated, and I think he bothers Gordon fans, as the younger pretty boy.
5. Juniors, I like him better than I used to, but tolerating Jr nation as the defending champions would be tough. Driving for Hendricks also is troubling and makes me question his character as a genuine redneck.
6. Hamlin's just because he has the talent, and everybody sheet talks his skills( even the barking dog next door barks a lot of smack about Danny boy). I still believe in spite of needing Dr Quacks help, he is a great driver.

My Hierarchy oh hate list that I do not want to win.

-Gordon, Mr wonderful he has probably fed 5000 with just a few fish and loaves. I do believe he is one of the ten best drivers ever in Cup, but I don't want to be reading a million postgasms over the next year.
-Clint and Truax, self explanatory they drive for MWR.
-Kenseth and Biffle, I like both of them but they are in Fords, don't blame me they chose to lose.

Biffle, Truex, Gordon in that order.

I choose to be mature enough about it to not pick just to piss other people off. I truly get no satisfaction seeing others angry - especially if I'm the cause.:(

Obviously I want Gordon to win, but if he can not my next pick to win it would either be JJ or Brad K. I like JJ because I feel as though he is underappreciated for how good he really is. It amazes me that someone can win 5 championships (let alone,5 in a row) and still people question their driving ability.

I wouldn't mind Brad because I like his attitude. He is not going to taken anything from anybody and he is a heck of a wheel man. His commercial in the "this is my chase" series is the best one they have put out so far. It really does a good job of describing how he races. My only draw back with Brad is he doesn't drive a chevy :(

My list of who I want to win the least goes as follows:
1. Denny Hamlin - I would rather see a wet dog driving a volkswagon win it all than him!
2. Matt Kenseth - He has never excited me....he never will!
3. Dale Jr - This would cause the banner of him being the greatest driver of all time to be raised by Junior Nation...I don't think I could take it....

All the rest I am prety much indifferent about or couldn't care...

If Kasey doesn't I'd be ok with Brad, or Truex or Harvick.

Well if Dale Jr can't win it, which he likely won't :( I'd like to see one of the MWR cars when it, it be nice to honestly see one of the non really top teams walk away with the championship, it would make for a really good feel good moment also and show how far that team has came and honestly could light a fire under the other non big teams to step up and try stuff.

Kinda Alan Kulwickiesh, right?

Sorta around the likes of that, it's like going into the season you think maybe a Hendrick car, maybe a Penske car , maybe a RCR could do it, etc etc you don't really hear people pick someone from MWR to win and here they are with both full time drivers in the chase with Clint only 15 behind and Truex 34 behind it's pretty amazing to see that with a bit of work even the 2nd tier teams can do something, I remember back when they was 3rd tier or so team and was lucky to make the race.

If not mine then,
Jr.
Brad.
In my opinion in that order, they deserve it the most.

Neither of my guys made the Chase :(
I'd like to see Biffle win it, he's been pretty consistent this year and he has never won the title.
I wouldn't mind seeing Matt do it either but I'd pick Jr. over Matt. I just think it'd be epic for the sport if Dale Jr. won the Cup.
I do not want to see JJ win it again.

My order: Hamlin, Stewart, Gordon, Jr, Matt, Kasey, Brad, JJ, Clint, Truex, Biffle, Harvick

It really doesn't matter much to me who wins. I would feel differently had Pee Wee made the Chase.
But alas...
I will still watch every lap of every race and congratulate the Race Winners and the Champion.

That being said, I would be happy if the Champ was:
Joonyer
Gordon
Brad

As for who I don't want to see win it all:
Harvick
Hamlin

If Jimmie/Chad was to win again, a lot of marginal fans would be turned off.
If one of the MWR drivers won, I would have to mute Michael Waltrip - but I like the drivers.
KK would be a good Champ, I think.
Smoke doubling up (with a new Crew Chief) would make quite a statement.
Gordon getting another Ring (without Ray) would be great.

It shall be what it shall be!
There are many tremendous stories still to be told!

I'm going to continue 'liking' any post that contains a positive statement about Brad. :)

Of the current Chase contingent, who do you think would be the best spokesman for the sport?

The winner will be making the talk show circuit and represent the sport during the off season. Who best fits that bill?

Not because I'm a fan but I'm going with Earnhardt Jr.. He's very well spoken. He seems much more comfortable around the media and is certainly well known. I don't see a downside to him representing the sport.

Ditto but with Jeff Gordon, the above but with the addition of experience on the championship circuit.
