If You Could Only Root For One Driver, Who Would It Be?

At this point Kyle Larson. I was at rockingham when he held off Logano in the truck race and became a fan that day. Followed him up and it's given me a new sense of love for the sport since he broke out

Chase Elliot and Ryan Blaney are right there with him though.

This of course is because jr sucks this year and is retiring st the conclusion of the season.

Bowyer's still my favorite driver even though he's not in a 'Yota anymore and hasn't done much in recent years.

I'm a big bowyer fan and it's only a matter of time before he gets a win IMO. Wouldn't be surprised to see him win one by the end of the year. He's been fast.

Jeff Gordon was my favorite driver until he stopped racing. Now, I don't really have a favorite driver. I'm having trouble picking a new driver to cheer for.

Part of me says I should cheer for Chris Buescher since he's from Texas, but he's not very competitive.

Another part of me says I should root for Chase Elliott since he's Jeff Gordon's successor, but I feel like he's trying to ride off of Jeff's popularity.

I used to root for Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. when he raced in the Kyle Busch series, but I haven't been able to root for him much in the Cup series for some reason. I feel like a bandwagon fan who only cares about him when he wins.

Ryan Blaney ran up front most of the Spring Cup race here at Texas, but he still races in the Kyle Busch series. I don't like that.

My dad still watches the Kyle Busch series, and is looking forward to seeing William Byron in Cup.

Trying to ride off Jeff's popularity...... that's the funniest thing I've heard this year.

Kenseth....when he is done, will have to find another that actually knows how the car actually works. Instead of the steering wheel holders that seem to predominate in the sport today.

Do not generally like Chevy's as they are part of that group called GM, that has the most nefarious history for a corporation.

Not tough question as a Ford guy but my heart says brad k. After him it's Stenhouse and Blaney......#1 non Ford guy hands down Kyle Larson very good dude

One, and only one, huh? Damn, this one is difficult, because there's a trio of 'em that are awesome. :)

I'm actually leaning towards Jimmie. He is a seven-time champion with plenty of success and plenty of air time, yet he has the humility of a common man with good values who is just trying to make a living for himself and his family.

Once he retires, my next favorite would probably be William Byron. @StandOnIt once called him a 200 mph Opie in another thread. I can see that. :D
