Inaugural NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Kentucky

I didnt even know he was a singer...?..Lol
Good job on the anthem

As stated in another thread, several people on Twitter have said they spend hundreds on tickets and thousands on hotel, gas and other expenses and are sitting in their hotel rooms watching the race because of traffic.

This race won't last long if fans are this pissed off. I'd be surprised if half of them show up next year.

The stands look packed!

I have it on in HD. Thousands of empty seats... one of the shots they had clearly showed that.

Absolutely ridiculous that thousands of fans are still in traffic.

IF,...and I mean if they are still trying to get into the sppedway,...then they better make some changes.....coz there gonna be a bunch of peed off people!

I'm curious to see which team does the best job keeping up with the track throughout the night. I hope this doesn't end up a dang fuel race :(

So far TNT's coverage is even better than the last race. How refreshing is it for the commentators to just shut up for five laps?! :D

I was supposed to work 12 hours tonight. Last night was rough and my body is still offended.
My body, and brain is fried.

So I took a vacation day/night honest the race had no bearing.

Now I am melted into the couch we have become one, it's love for my tired bones. One eye on the race, one on the iphone, and another on the wifey. Who knows the old dog might feel like bury one., by the time the race finishes.

Now it's pouring rain and the satellite signal is weak.

Bruton Smith talked about the traffic problems earlier today. He said "I 71 sucks" and promised to get something done about it for next years race. If anyone can get results it's Bruton.

From what people are saying, officials and state police aren't directing traffic or re-routing traffic where exits are closed.

Others have said people aren't even directing fans in the parking lots.

Lol,...I'm just heading out...To Work!..:)

It'll be interesting to see what kind of turnout they get next year if NASCAR comes back for another 'Cup race and there aren't some major changes made.

"While we were away" -- TNT's favorite phrase.

77 laps in to the Inaugural Quaker State 400 and traffic still coming in from I-71.

Louisville, KY to Sparta, KY -- average drive: One hour.

Louisville TV reporter's drive to KY Speedway from Louisville -- six hours.

Lap 97/267 -- a bus transporting fans just arrived at Kentucky Speedway... traffic still backed up on the interstate.

They didn't open the gates until 2pm local time. That did not help at all.

109 laps in to the Inaugural Quaker State 400 and fans are still arriving at Kentucky Speedway.

Absolutely pathetic.
