Inaugural NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Kentucky

"Welcome to Kentucky Speedway, Kyle Busch is the leader, we now return to commercials" -- what Adam Alexander really meant to say.

All I'm saying, if I spent hundreds of dollars for tickets to the race (not including gas, hotels, etc.) IN ADVANCE, spent nine hours in traffic and got turned away at the gate because of "lack of parking", I would burn that mother****ing **** to the ground.

Kentucky Speedway = EPIC FAIL.

(And traffic is still backed up 12 miles each direction)

OK we all know the traffic problems, now let it go. This thread is about the race not poor planing.

Awesome shot of the moon, anyway. It wasn't that long ago that astronomers would have killed for a view like that.

Official staytement from Kentucky Speedway general manager Mark Simendinger :

"We've had an overwhelming response to our inaugural NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Quaker State 400. We know we had challenges related to traffic. We're already planning improvements and looking forward to a much better situation for next year's event."

I doubt there'll be a problem next year since half the people probably won't be back.

But yet your in Maryland, watching a race/channel/sport you hate and *****ing more than anyone sitting in traffic?

Wow, they're not letting fans leave the track either.

The roads may suck, but Kentucky Speedway is making matters worse... Un-****ing-believable.

Statement from Kentucky Speedway General Manager Mark Simendinger regarding traffic: We’ve had an overwhelming response to our inaugural NASCAR Sprint Cup Series “Quaker State 400.” We know we had challenges related to traffic. We’re already planning improvements and looking forward to a much better situation for next year’s event.

"Challenges related to traffic"?

Millions of Americans are also having "challenges related to unemployment"

Alright, let's begin the conspiracy theories.

NASCAR threw a dart in Junyer's tire to make it go down, bringing out a late race caution.

I would put money that Kyle wins the Slinger race. I've seen his late model budget, it's unreal.

If he does, it's three wins in four races.

And now, the race is on to get out of Kentucky Speedway.

One person on twitter said the person next to her arrived with 40 laps to go.
