Couple of items previewing the race this weekend.

Ron Hornaday's (No. 26 Dr. Pepper Chevrolet) last career victory came at IRP. Hornaday, whose first career win came at Nazareth in 2000, went on to also win that same season at IRP.
Jason Keller (No. 57 Albertsons Ford) is another multiple winner of this event and enters with a run of three consecutive top-five performances at IRP. Keller, whose win in 1995 was his first in the NASCAR Busch Series, started his current streak with a victory in' 99 and fifth-place finishes in 2000 and last season. He also ranks third all-time in laps led at IRP with 181.
Randy LaJoie (No. 7 Kleenex/Nortel Networks Chevrolet) is the only driver in the 20-year history of this event to own multiple poles and victories. LaJoie won from the pole in 1996 and' 97, making him the only multiple pole winner in this event and one of only three multiple winners. He also is the career leader in laps led at IRP with 313.
Chevrolet has won the last 10 races at IRP, and 11 of the 20 overall.
In 1982, Morgan Shepherd won the inaugural Kroger 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park in an Oldsmobile for car owner Ed Whitaker. Shepherd would also win the event in 1984 and' 88 to become the all-time NASCAR Busch Series victory leader at this venue with three.
