Interesting read for NASCAR history buffs

My Wife's uncle Hershel McGriff competed in a NASCAR K&N west race at 90. He very busy and active guy for his age. He he's been riding in the Kyle Petty charity ride for years.

What guy!! I looked in the Tucson Star and results of May 5th race but found no mention of McGriff, the elder. Mariah McGriff had a 6th and 7th place finish and Hershel McGriff, Jr., finished 4th in their respective events.
Not that it matters but would be curious. If he had the desire and good health to race, why not? It is always heartening to know members of a slightly used generation keep on keeping on.
