This is pretty much what my Android phone was. A glorified corded phone. I had to be plugged in all the time. With 4G LTE on, it would last two hours (eight hours standby). With everything turned off (data, cell, bluetooth, GPS and WiFi), it only lasted five hours and 12 hours standby because Android always has little background tasks running that kill your battery. It's exactly like an old Windows laptop.

iPhone has its flaws but I can deal with those.

Ah there it is. You want a phone, I and many others like actually having computers in our pockets.
bingo.

I get about 6 hours to a charge on my Note 1 with power saving off and GPS off. With GPS on, subtract about an hour.

I actually have a phone that makes phone calls, its a good phone, does what I want it to, its a flip top in a belt case so I don't butt call people by accident and easier to talk on so I don't have to yell and disturb people around me, I don't tweet or text because its too impersonal, emails and internet search's are for my super dooper powerful PC that I bought last winter or the laptop that I keep in the RV for trips and hunting seasons. Too damn much fuss with all those thingy so called phones, have to slow down and make some bikini checks while I'm still on top of the dirt.

Lol. Exaggerate much? What were you doing, trying to use every app on the phone at once? I have an LG Lucid on my Verizon account. I know first hand they suck, but thats just not true at all. Not the greatest battery life, but far from 2 hours. Lol

Hell, I've been on my Bionic almost all afternoon. 5 hours since the last charge, still at 64%. iPhone isn't much better as far as battery life is concerned. 12-13 hours on Android or iPhone under heavy use is pretty good.

I could give you a list of horror stories. The overheating is ridiculous, the average battery life I got out of it was 2-3 hours if I actually used it and eight hours on standby. If I went to sleep and forgot to charge the phone, I'd wake up to a dead battery. Hell, I couldn't even charge the phone with the car charger or through the USB port on my car radio that's charged my old iPhone for years and my new iPhone. And I've looked it up and it's a common complaint on Android phones.

The LG Lucid is a crap phone but let's not blame the phone when many of the same issues have been documented on HTC and even on almighty Samsung phones.

You can Google it - I'm not the only person who's gotten piss poor battery life from the LG Lucid. Go to the Verizon community forums and you'll see pages and pages of complaints from people saying it's the worst phone they've ever owned..... people who willfully gave up 4G LTE to get an iPhone 4.
