Very cool but also makes zero sense for travel and costs.m
I don’t think this is a great thing for the series...
Too far for the teams and the hardcore modified fans are out in the northeast.
I don’t really understand the benefit of running there. If they wanted a similar track, seems like Richmond would have been better...
Also, I guess this is replacing the K&N east and west combination race at Iowa that weekend.
Since ARCA already has a race at Iowa I guess they didn’t see a need to also have K&N.

I didn't see the need for K&N there anymore, but couldn't they have ran an ARCA Midwest Tour late model race or something in K&N's place? Though if it's a Modified / Xfinity weekend I might consider going, it's one of the few top 3 NASCAR series tracks within 16 hours lol.
A Modified Race at Iowa might be very entertaining if they can still get 20-22 cars or something to show up.

I would have preferred the east/west combo race to have stayed over the ARCA, I think the K&N races there tend to be better than The ARCA ones but either way, it does seem logical for one of them to be removed.
I’m not a fan of late models on the big tracks. I’ve seen them at Richmond, Rockingham, Milwaukee, and Iowa, and the late models are always pretty boring at those tracks IMO...
Modifieds would probably put on a better show... Just seems like it may be tough on teams. It’s also too far for the fan base, I doubt many people will show up for modifieds at Iowa...
I liked the Martinsville addition, I definitely think Richmond or Dover would have been better if they wanted to add a big track...

Myrtle Beach added as the season opener on May 30.
No spectators allowed. 4k to win, $500 to start. Some of the teams aren't happy about last minute notice of a new, far away event, with a far lower than normal purse. Last years 3rd in points Ron Silk confirmed that his team wont be there...
I would have loved to take one last trip to MB speedway for this race, before NASCAR officially confirmed that spectators wouldn't be allowed, I was planning to go (didn't go ahead and book any accommodations or anything because i figured there was a good chance fans couldn't go). I'd assume that this will be on NBC Sports Gold to watch...
I don't see the good point of this race. There is no TV money, for the purse, its not worth it to go that far for that race for the teams. Not good for fans, because we can't go.
Not sure who was asking for this race to happen... They should have just waited til they could get something better... in the south or north... this is far from ideal...
