I love love love it when their new technology demonstrations at these fairs fall flat on their faces ... literally in this case.
If you buy one with a phone contract it winds up costing you more in the long run.

These clowns just released the iPhone 8 not so long ago.
Face recognization...might as well serve the NSA with all your vitals so they dont have to make the trip home. All that stuff gets saved in the cloub and makes it that much easier for them to access your information.

iPhone X -- remove another frequently used feature on the phone, import "innovative" new technologies Samsung Galaxy phones have had for 3-5 years and increase the price.
And the iCult will eat it up like candy. Just like they pay $1,000 for $250 computers or $1,200 for $150 tablets.

To be fair, those Microsoft Tablets are expensive as **** too.
My Samsung tablet works just fine.
My Kindle Fire HD 8 was $135, and it works just fine too.
My Macbook Pro 15" was $1,300 and it works better than both of those combined!!!

I think you might be a bit confused, there are three versions of iPhone 8 coming, the iPhone8, iPhone8 plus, and the iPhone 8 X, or simply , the iPhone X.
Run whatever you like. That's why there's a variety of products available.

I don't understand the watches. Cars on the other hand I sort of do. I just think it's dumb to pay that much for a phone, surely when some of these features they have is on I think it's the GALAXY S8. It's one of them Samsung phones, and way cheaper. Apple can only charge as much as they do is off the Apple name alone.
Some people like IOS for security reasons, iTunes, etc.
Like I said earlier, buy whatever you like. There are a variety of products out there.
$1,000 isnt a lot of money anymore.

Same here... emphasis on barely. I have an extended battery and that's about the only thing keeping it useful.
