Is the 47 as bad as we think?

Don't get me wrong I still think the 47 team is terrible and the owners thinking that they should be better is a total joke.

However AJ did have a solid finish and ran well all night at Atlanta. Every time he's in their car the performance seems to be better, so I think there's definitely something to be said for that. I'll be curious to see what a full season of AJ will do for that team.
At Bristol Bobby was a top 20 car and ran 84 laps in the top 5 before Gordon took him out. So they may have figured something out w/ regards to the setup of the car, whether AJ had something to do w/ that I don't know. Bobby also was able to stay in the top 5 @ Pocono on older tires. I thought he was a sitting duck when the race restarted but Kyle Busch and a couple of other front runners couldn't get by him. He eventually had to pit though.

AJ better hope JTG improves the program or it's gonna be a long three years of pushing the car past it's limitations to scratch out top 15s..

I know this all went under the radar with last week's events but again AJ top 15th it.

Will you guys concede it was the previous driver and not all the cars fault? :p

he was not a great driver, he was a ok driver that won a championship because he drove for JGR.

Maybe he wasn't a great driver, but he was better than an ok driver. I remember a time when it seemed like he couldn't be beat at Atlanta. He had that place figured out before and after the reconfiguration.

Remember the time he wrecked at Bristol in the 18, got mad, kicked his car then limped off the track with a broken toe?

That was funny. lol
