Is there anyone out there happy with the sport this year?

This year has been great. So exciting. I'm even excited about Texas and I'm never excited about Texas.

Despite Brians best efforts I still enjoy my Nascar, Im sure he will eventually hit upon an idea that will tip the scales though.
I still watch the disaster they call Formula-1 so it takes a lot to turn me against a sport.

The racing has been pretty good to this point.

DVR the things then run ‘em with the sound off to avoid the “personalities” and commercials. Works well for me.

Loving the racing.Hateing the constant changes. Any chance we could get one year before they go with some other scheme?

Man, I'm enjoying the hell out of this season. Who's with me? Anyone? Bueller Bueller Bueller Ah, okay, maybe it's just me?

There hasn't been a boring race yet, and that's far more than I hoped for. The racing is so good, I just may not mute the boog-idiot at the start of this weeks race!

nascar qualifying was more exciting than last weeks F1. I DVR F1 and zoom for some actual racing....and restarts. Usually get thru a race in under 10 minutes. F1 sure is fast.

Have you heard the new F-1 cars ??? Nothing can fix that

I'm actually enjoying it, and didn't think I was gonna watch more than a few races all year. But I think what has helpd my frame of mind is taking each race as a race. Points are dead to me, and I neither know, nor care, who's where as far as points go.

Someone said F1 or teams are talking about suing the manufacturer(s) because the sound isn't what was promised.

Promoters of the Australian GP threatened to sue F1 for not "getting what they paid for"

That's my attitude. When the Brain came out with the new chase playoffs, I no longer cared about the championship and just want good racing. I'll care about the championship at Homestead, because that's what he'll be (sorry DP fans), the Homestead champion.

I still think that the "points" system is flawed, but the racing has been great. Gotta take the good with the bad I suppose.

I think the season has been awesome, why because of tire fall off!!!! you see comers and goers cars that run up through the pack and fall back. guys that are fast essentially out of no where. This sport has needed something that makes the cars run different speeds the new rules package has done just that.

I have actually loved every race mostly because the tires fall off now. Even a potential snoozer at Vegas ended up pretty good. I'm headed to Texas tomorrow (for the Final Four) and am really excited to see if the new package makes Texas exciting.

IndyCar on ovals got incredible when they took out the downforce and let the tires wear, looks like NASCAR finally learned from someone else.

I've thought the racing has been pretty good this year, Las Vegas was a little boring to me though.

This new rules package has worked pretty well. I think goodyear should come up with a tire to match the new dynamics of the new car so there is still fall off, but at the same time having grip throughout a run so people can pass.

Im curious to see how the new engine package works out for next year, im hoping for closer racing and more competition.

I love it so far. Regular season points haven't really mattered since 2003 as long as you're in the top 10-12, and I've always valued wins way more than points. They already had a 13th car in the chase, so nothing can upset me anymore :dunce:

Nascar will no doubt try a few more qualifying procedures .Then, some empty headed suit in the boardroom will come up with a really simple plan to run the 43 cars once and start them in order from the fastest in front to the slowest in the rear. All of the other empty headed suits will stand and applaud , the guy will get a raise , then it will start all over again

Other than tire issues (which will likely be repeated ay Texas) I've been very happy. This new points system has provided a huge boost.

I like racing and this year is starting off much better than most.

I am really enjoying the racing this year, it has been very exciting. Plus, after six races i have had 4 winners. I would like to see Danica and Alex Bowman be a little more competitive before the end of the season.

6 races.....6 winners. good racin thru out pack each race.
no "good points race " hype from drivers.
bad set up.....even on big teams....will kill tire. thank ya goodyear !
pole qual better.
best start of season in long time .
hhhmmmm........maybe this new chase format .....new rules.....etc ....will work after all ??
workin for me !

Sup bandwagoner? Planning on bailing on the sport for the last 10 races this year like you said you would last year's?

Poor chex :(
Sup instigator. Yeah, if Gordon or Kez makes the chase I'm gonna watch all 10. If they don't, I'd be more likely to make more plans on Sundays & I'll probably miss a few of the races but I'll stick around to see who wins it all. Glad I'm in your head all the time. Feel bad you can't find nothin better to do son.

Are you kidding me? That's how my roommates & I interact all day long all the time. Just brotherly camaraderie. Grow a pair.

I cant blame them, F-1 said they were bringing race cars and people expect race cars to sound like race cars, not taxi-cabs :(
