are manufacturers a big issue in nascar?

I dont think so, if it was why are all parts of the field so diverse.

In most races the top 10 look like this

chevy
ford
dodge
ford
chevy
chevy
dodge
pontiac


the order doesn't matter replace any of the manufacturers names with another on the list. The thing is I have a problem seeing how a manufacturer makes so much of a diffrence when atleast all of them win once a year, most of the time 2 or 3 sometimes. Also how about having so many diffrent manufacturers at all positions of the race, in every race.

Before yes. But this year I don't think any make has a real advantage over the next. Should make it fun.

Since all the makes are basically the same, it would be nice to start seeing some other makes come in like Toyota or Mercury.
