We have the privilege of indulging in the "what if" scenarios. Teams don't -- they work with reality.
Its because its so hard to beat at least 4 of the best drivers out there by enough positions in just two races. I mean damn Jeff got 2nd and he's still out.. thats rough.Almost everyone has been saying since the chase began that one bad race can finish your chances. That's no truer than it is right now. 6 of the last 9 races, Gordon finished in the top-10, and half of those were top-5s. But one bad race, done.
Gordon would have just as many championships as Petty and Earnhardt if he were racing under the same format they did.
Just because you're sick of hearing it doesn't make it any less true. Accept the things you cannot change and move on. You'll be a happier person.Lol this sh!t again?
nice try. how many championships you think Earnhardt would have if they had had the chase format?
10 or more. he like it rough.nice try. how many championships you think Earnhardt would have if they had had the chase format?
I think he's got a pretty good shot at winning next week. Gotta get closer to 100 wins.
Ready for Homestead.
Some of you are driving yourselves crazy with the "what ifs".
The Chase is either liked or disliked. Trying to figure out the woulda, coulda, shoulda in the past goes nowhere.

I'm watching Anthony Bourdain.
The perfect storm for Gordon fans... worked out well for me.. I think Gordon will win at Homestead lol... with Joey 2nd of courseEspecially since if almost anyone else but the guy that won, won, he would have been in. Holy **** lol.
You realize the only chance Logano has to win a championship is because of the chase? This sport is becoming a joke and can only make headlines due to a pit road fight. The perfect storm for Gordon fans... worked out well for me.. I think Gordon will win at Homestead lol... with Joey 2nd of course
How in the hell can you guys follow all 72,000 of these chase threads. We actually had discussions like this before the chase because winning wasn't rewarded consistency was. This is what we got, deal with it and move on. Maybe Brian will accidentally stumble over somthing that most of us will like.
Some people reject reality and substitute their own!We have the privilege of indulging in the "what if" scenarios. Teams don't -- they work with reality.
Looks like reality is tough for some to deal with. This is going to be an entertaining off season. We have the privilege of indulging in the "what if" scenarios. Teams don't -- they work with reality.

I'm having trouble trying to find that 'Jeff Gordon 7-Time Champion' T-Shirt. Where can I score one of those? This one feels just as sweet as the others!
1995. 1997. 1998. 2001. 2004. 2007. 2014.

Somewhere in South America.I'm having trouble trying to find that 'Jeff Gordon 7-Time Champion' T-Shirt. Where can I score one of those?
Kinda like they do with the Super Bowl's losing team jersey's?Somewhere in South America.
Exactly. Just ask the Super Bowl XLVIII Champion Denver Broncos.Kinda like they do with the Super Bowl's losing team jersey's?
To be fair though, Dale Jr is an 8-Time Champion under a point system that I am currently working on. I am planing on sending in my new championship structure once I can figure out how to get Jr his eighth or even his first for that matter. If Brian gives it the okay, I'll then fill you in on the details.Exactly. Just ask the Super Bowl XLVIII Champion Denver Broncos.
Nailed it.I'm not a Gordon fan, never have been, I pulled for the man in black, diehard 3 fan. With that being said, the only person that can be mentioned in the same breath as Petty and Earnhardt is Gordon.
Nascar has screwed their history up and has screwed Gordon big time. Instead of talking about Petty, Earnhardt, and Gordon, history will talk about Petty, Earnhardt, and Johnson.
If anyone wonders why the sports numbers have fallen off a cliff, then you've got your answer.
I admit that I'm as guilty as anybody when it comes to talking about coulda woulda shoulda championships. And even though I've made my thoughts on this format known probably more than I should have, I finally have accepted it even if I don't love it. I've got a guy to root for on Sunday, so I'm just gonna watch and see what happens. To be fair though, Dale Jr is an 8-Time Champion under a point system that I am currently working on. Yep, same here.I admit that I'm as guilty as anybody when it comes to talking about coulda woulda shoulda championships. Well.. I mean technically JJ is the only driver with 6 cupsUm? How is that when there's only a handful of NASCAR racers with a record 6-pack, JJ would've been king had he gotten #7 this year.
