Jeff Gordon needs probation

Not only is this the SECOND car Jeff has spun, but the last one he managed to drive his car onto the curb and the grass as well.

This should qualify as reckless driving, much like Bodine from last week.

Bottom line, to stay consistent Gordon needs to be put on probation by NASCAR.

Who cares if he is hated or not, reckless driving is reckless driving and NASCAR needs to maintain consistency whether or not Gordon is a fan favorite.

Yup.....

If nascar is going to play traffic cop they cannot pass out tickets to some and not others.

Look for Kurt to put him in the wall if he gets half a chance. Bobby might not do it, but Kurt don't take that kind crap. Ask Jimmie.

You are definitely right, Paul. If this was Todd Bodine driving like this, people would be in an uproar.

There's still plenty of time, we'll have to see if Gordon goes for one more. Maybe then Nascar will do something...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

Sorry, I couldn't hold it in. Nascar penalizing J. Gordon, that's a good one. They aren't stupid.

If Todd's deal was based on one race, there might be a point to be made.

Similarities are pretty non exixtent here.

there's a difference in a short track & a mile &1/2 track! Bumping is expected at martinsville

I don't see a whole slew of straight fenders and clean doors out there.

Course if ya can't bash NASCAR, what do ya have to talk about?

Just short track racin folks, hehehe

Let's see who does it on the final lap!

I understand the difference between short track and a mile and a half track. But Gordon was up and over the curb. That's not right no matter how big or small the track.

Jeff is not having any luck at all today,I think he is putting himself on probation. :(

Jeff's day is not done. I think he's going to take out Todd Bodine yet today, just b/c he can.

I think he's already done it with the first two incidents. If he does one more there better be a penalty involved. Isn't it three strikes and your out or something like that?

Oh Lord......who do I agree with here? LOL Actually if Nascar is gonna fine Todd then they should fine the rest...BUT(!) I really think it should be an individual case, you know, considering what track and any other "facts" pertaining to the driver. I do agree Jeff Gordon is really getting sloppy in this race. He is usually pretty good.........and I AM NOT a Gordon fan!!

But noone has talked about Brett Bodine? Is he gonna be fined as well?

Nascar........ya gotta get confused with them!!! :cookoo:

Jeff isn't driving his normal style.......he's acting a little impatient. Very, unusual for him.

lovNdale,

Brett Bodine is racing the Hooters car. Do I need to say anything else?

Frustration will do that to the best of drivers;)

Frustration is okay if you are Jeff, but not if you are Todd?

Well my true opinion of that would start WW3.;)

I think we had ww3 before the Dega race. We can handle anything now.

Allright den.I say it's who you are in Nascar, not what you are.

More like what others think of you.....drivers, fans and NASCAR. Todd has taken heat from all of the above for years.

I have never put Todd down,He just didn't get handed a silver spoon ride early in his career.I have watched Todd race, and have met him.He is as qualifyed as anyone to run Winston.

I do agree with you pbunch, and it is a shame. I have always been against NASCAR playing traffic cop, but I still agree with standards, and while Todd's move can be questioned and so can Jeff's moves, one got the punishment so why shouldn't the other?

Yeah..........I forgot. Jeff was handed that silver spoon. Ray Evernham was a long time top crew chief before he got a hold of Jeff. Rick Hendrick decided early on that he was going to make Jeff a superstar because of his performance in Busch. Jeff came from a monied family. How could I forget all that?:)

Just remember that before Nascar levied the probation on Todd, they not only talked to several of the car owners and drivers, they also reviewed several previous races where Todd had ontrack incidents/wrecks with other drivers. They didn't just hand out the probation for one race.
