Jimmie Johnson

I'm willing to bet that Jimmie's investment advisor doesn't find him boring.
Besides, what we see on TV may not be who he really is. You watch him for a few minutes in an interview and somehow it doesn't measure up to what you think he should have said or done. Too often people want to project what they think they see to be the entire scope of that person's life. Most times you are wrong. Look at the likes of Pee Wee Herman or George Michael. Who knew until they got caught.
And, I'm even willing to go out on a limb and imagine that Andy is not really as he appears here to all of us.
Well, I'm not gonna start throwing him into the same sentence with pee wee herman....I just said he's boring.
Johnson is from here in El Cajon ( a suburb of San Diego). So I have every reason to root for him....He's an old Moto-Crosser.
I've seen his face at some ALMS races, and I've heard him talk about racing open wheel....This may be just the start for him. I've heard him talk about how he wants to win The Indy 500 some day, so who knows ?

Johnson boring? I guess he could be to some people, but I remember when Matt Kenseth took the title and everyone seemed to think that he was the most boring person on Earth. I've found people can have different personalities off camera that is totally different than when they are on camera. Jimmie could be a real hoot in person to those who know him.

OK, OK ,.Maybe boring is the wrong word.

How about " Stick in the mud ".:idunno:

Three Championships in a row speaks for itself.
Yea he's good. But I think there's no question that this sport has become more and more of a team sport. And IMO I think you have to tip your hat to the team first, and Johnson second. I bet Jimmie himself would agree with that.

With out a team Jimmie would be nothing.:p

I don't know about that. Chad is awsome
It seems like Chad could turn Chicken Bleep, into Chicken Salad. I just think that team, including Jimmy, has reached a peak, where they communicate with out speaking, and everything just sort of flows. So they're going to be hard to beat.
Although Busch seemed like he didn't have any trouble during the season.
But that's what I mean in a way. It's almost like the #48 team was just out there, lying in the weeds, not showing their hand, and waited for the chase to start before they made a move. Which is where the debate begins about the chase. Sometimes it doesn't seem fair.
