Actually , NASCAR has a history, and a good history, of handling these matters internally. Once they determine who, what, where, and why, a day or two of evaluation, etc., they generally make a judgement and issue a fair and reasonable decision. There are many factors to be evaluated that we as "outsiders" might never be made aware of.
Since I'm not a betting man, I wager NASCAR suspends the guilty party and levies a stiff fine to one and a softer fine to the other. We should understand there is guilt to be shared here until the scenario is made clear on all events leading up to the climax.
As for the crap on the track, it is called racing. At any given NASCAR Winston Cup Series event, it happens there were plenty of slide jobs, controlled bumps and a few "screw you" taps to make a point. Nothing out of the ordinary.
There will be more of this as the year winds down and drivers are aware there are only thirteen races left to gain points. The dust usually settles on a Tuesday.

Exactly Whizzer, Nascar should handle this because they can make it hurt a whole lot worse than any court can. I think this is just one of those deals where Spencer can't stand Kurt Busch no matter what he does right or wrong. He was probably mad because he faded pretty rapidly in the closing laps.

I would be surprised if Jimmy doesn't get suspended and for that matter is probably going to be out a ride. Since he isn't a star driver and is on the downhill side of his career many probably won't care. While I like Jimmy more than KB I don't think that he was right for hitting KB while in the car, but only Jimmy and KB know what went on during the race and afterwards. Slide jobs and bumps are part of racing, but the drivers also know when it is reckless and when it is just racing usually. It doesn't help when it is between 2 drivers that don't like each other so what Jimmy might have blown off by some other driver he just got madder at since it was KB.

Did anyone else listen to Kurt Busch's radio during the race?, he moaned all the way through about everything!. It would be a shame to loose Jimmy Spencer just for hitting someone.

They need to suspend both of them for Bristol. Sitting K-Harv down cooled his jets and this may work here as well, for the both of them.

I think that Busch had it coming! It takes two to tangle and it seems since last year Kurt has been trying to pi$$ Jimmy off somehow, and talking SMACK behind Jimmy's back dont help either! ELF BOY is a spoiled rotten, big mouth, lil brat that doesnt know when to shut-up!!!
Kurt cut Jimmy off in the line after the race and gassed it front of Jimmy. Jimmy took out after him and Kurt stopped in front of Jimmy's transporter. Kurt was asking for it and got it. End of story. Both should be suspended for Bristol.

I read they exchanged words before Jimmy hit him and Kurt probably said something smart to him. I think the reason that Jimmy hit him, was because Kurt's been saying stuff in the garage about Jimmy, stuff the public doesn't hear, and Jimmy finally said enough is enough. I do think Kurt was getting too big for his britches and maybe this will take him down a peg or two. I think this is punishment enough for Jimmy, missing the one race on the schedule he'd be a frontrunner and possibly win. I'm glad to see Kurt got put on probation and it's probably for what I think, provoking and egging Jimmy on in the garage area.

Anyone who has ever played any kind of sport knows the amount of emotion that goes into it...my most frustrating moments are all pinned to a racketball court....

Well yes to tell the truth. I'm a atheist to be honest so it doesn't matter to me. But I really do find it odd tabasco thinking physical attacks are all right if he so serious about god to use it in his signature. I really just can't believe how many people here think Kurt derserved it or that's racing or that Jimmy had to do it if he were a normal man.

I welcome all opinions but I also find it wrong when some members would advocate the beating of a driver. I dont see why Kurt Busch merited that incident, I think Kurt Busch is a great young driver. I dont get how or why he deserved to be punched as some members would suggest.

I agree, I came here last night for the first time as I was looking for what people were saying about the Kurt/Jimmy thing. The name calling and almost celebrating that SOME of the posters were doing and yes it got my goat I will admit. Neither Kurt or Jimmy are my favorite driver, but I was almost shocked at how many people seem to be happy as hell.

I realize this but I'm sorry, the people that think Kurt "got what he deserved" need some help. I'll bet if it was their brother/father/son who got punched in the mouth (twice apparently) for speaking their mind they might have a different opinion.
Tabasco is the one that brought god into it as far as I'm concerned, he has it in his signature. I would love to lighten up and I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I believe this was a crime(even though I won't be shocked if Jimmy isn't charged) and to applaud a criminal offense is wrong any way you slice it.
