Joey Logano

I stand corrected. Sprint Cup Car. My point is still valid. Try debating it. You can't, and you know it.

HUGE DIFFERENCE in case you haven't noticed, those two cars do not handle the same, and you can not compare data between the two.

No two cars handle the same. That is not a huge difference. Now if you want to claim that today's drivers can not handle any type of change, I may listen to that, but to say that there is a huge difference is pure folly. A huge difference is getting out of an IRL car and into a Sprint Cup box. The bottom line is simple. Home Depot is spending a lot of money on a loser. Logano has done nothing. How much longer do you think Home Depot is going to put up with this?

Logano's a loser... yep, because Mr. Knowitall said so.

He's 18. And, at 18, he's had more success than anyone else has ever had by the time they turned the same age. Two Nationwide Series wins, a Camping World Series championship, an ARCA Series win, and competing in Sprint Cup. Yep, that Joey Logano's a loser. :sarcasm:

Take some of your frustration out on Paul Menard if anyone. He couldnt win a bicycle race in a go-kart but he still gets to go out every sunday because his dad is flithy loaded.

He's been in the car 3 months!

But Menard is still ahead of A few

3 months, and he still hasn't figured it out? How long will it take him? The entire year? He is in danger of falling out of the Top 35. He has had 8 races. I would not expect him to win yet, but it would be nice if he had atleast one Top 10 finish. I mean even Menard is ahead of him. Remember that Logano driver for Gibbs, which is not exactly a shabby team.

:XXROFL:

Please, stop it. You're killing me. :XXROFL::XXROFL:

It's three years and several drivers and most teams still haven't figured it out. The cars get looser when the night comes (when the tracks traditionally get more grip).

Goodyear still hasn't gotten the tires figured out. Remember the clusterf**k at Indianapolis?

I have an idea -- maybe you, with your extensive background in Cup and racing cars, should go get a ride.

Since you say there's no difference between the old car and the new car, you should be great right out of the box. :whoopee:

You really are an ignorant fool. Tire issues are the same for each team, and each driver. While several teams still have not figured it out, Gibbs is not one of them. In case you didn't know this, they do have a driver that wins on a consistant basis. And a fool like yourself is going to tell me that Logano does not have huge advantages over most of these teams? Are you totally inept, or just drunk?

You're right Andy, remember how he said he drove faster than what the drivers today do now? I keep searching the records but have yet to come across the name bigdaddio as driver,,,

Do you want to come to DC tonight and discuss this post?

Menard is(outside of a very raw Joey Logano) the only well funded car on that list.

Its a joke that he gets to run in NASCAR. He has run 83 races and has all of 2 top 10s. His average finish is 26th for his career.

OK! To get this thread back on track (pun intended). I started the thread because I am a huge Coach Gibbs fan. Does anyone remember where Coach Gibbs got his big start? Coach Gibbs gave Tony Stewart a chance a few years back and that payed off. He took Kyle under his wing, well you all know how that is working now. A few years ago he started grooming Joey and I am quite sure that will also pay off.

My point for the original post was to see how many people look at team owners and wonder why they make the decisions they do. (I wonder if Rick Hendrick bangs his head on the wall from time to time.) I also wonder how many team owners are right in their decisions most of the time.

Me, I think Coach Gibbs is a genious... :D

Coach's first driver was Dale Jarret, and 2nd was Bobby Labonte and they turned out pretty good too. I think he's ahead of the curve on his choices, Jason and JJ didn't work out real great in up but he's still doing very well.

Is it that Coach Gibbs etc makes good driver choices or because he gave them good equipment and they became great drivers? I wonder if the better equipment lets the newer driver concentrate on learning how to be a better driver instead of how to get his equipment better. Not to mention the whole confidence issue.

I think Joey is a good fit with Coach. Not having an "older" driver with the company; which is something he doesn't have with Gibbs, and I think he would benefit from it. I for one will give him some time to get it together before I write him off, talk to me in a year and we’ll see what the deal is.

We will just have to take a wait and see approach! Once Joey comes back to a track he has raced on who knows what might happen.

He needs more seat time in the CRAP of Today car. He ain't no Busch boy, but he does good in the B.G.N. cars. Long way from Legend cars. Carl Long needs a shot a the 20 car, guarenteed to start and Finish in the top 20.

You can give the same really good equipment to 3 different drivers as Gibbs did with the #11, only one of them did something with it, so it may help but great equipment doesn't make everyone a winner.
