Joey Logano's car fails post-race inspection after Dover Nationwide win

If Nascar was to take it from Joey and give it to Larson he'd have to take it, but I'm almost sure if he was asked if he'd want his first win that way, he said no..at least i hope so.

I guess that's his choice to make but I seriously doubt that he'll be given the option....although it wouldn't hurt my feelings if they came down on #22 team.

It's hard to take anything from a driver who isn't racing for the title, so take from the team big time and take owner points, that's about all they could do, I mean as I said Nascar wouldn't give Larson the choice, all I said if any one was(as in a fan, reporter etc) I would hope he'd say he'd not want a win like that let alone a first win, the first win is important to a driver and he should get to celebrate said win in fashion.

Strip him of the win and forfeiture of the money.

Taking a win away would probably piss off sponsors. Letting them keep the win makes the sponsor (AKA money machine) happy. and the team pays the price. Its all about money.

It's pretty obvious the present practice of taking away driver and owner points along with a fine and double secret probation doesn't work. Start taking away wins along with the winnings and sponsors will get pissed. Then they can use the power of the purse to get a team straightened out. I don't like what NAPA did but understand why they did it.
Suspend a team for a race, that'll get their attention real quick.

Keselowski's car was too low in the front after the June Dover Cup race as well. I had forgotten about that.

Since Brads "We don't play in the gray area" speech, Penske has had more penalties this year than in the prior 5 years. I guess he was telling the truth. Now they need to learn to play smart.

I agree, if a car is illegal it should be disqualified - no points, no purse, like they weren't even there. The financial penalty is the cost of the team running the race which is probably more than most fines.

I think there will be a 6 point penalty in the owners and manufacturers standings. They'll fine the crew chief and the car chief $10k each and place them on probation for the remainder of the year. Unless of course this falls under one of the same categories as their double-triple secret probation, in which case I think the fines will be more like 25 points and a $50k fine. Too low for post race is not that big of a deal compared to other infractions. I'd be willing to bet they still have the owners points lead or are not far behind the 54 after any penalties.

Unless it's someone elses car and then I bet you would think it's a big deal. But, I won't expect you to admit to that.;):D
