Johali's Rate the Cup race --- Bristol

9. Only thing that kept it from a 10 was that there was not a single lap, on any run, where any driver could push the car.

If the concern was above pure pace fall off, rather than tires blowing up, it would be a 10. Or if we got a legit shootout between the 54/11 on fresh tires where drivers got to really wheel it, it's a 10.

9 for me.

10.....Congrats to the 11 team and JGR. Haven't seen that many cords since my older brother being a senior in high school in early 60's. 😂

10. You want to make someone a fan of this sport? Show them this race. About as Old School Bristol as you can get without the bump n run. My favorite race of the year thus far, I had so much fun today

759 gadzillion. Denny beat your favorite driver. KFB's Resurrection Tour is over. Larson is whining. I am living my best life right now. Hell to the ****** YES!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm saying 8.5 . I would have liked about 10 more laps on a set of tires. At one point, Bowman was the only car on the lead lap.

At least unlike 2008 Indy, NASCAR let the tires do their thing and didn't intervene.

Part of me wonders. If they hadn't had the last set of tires given out, how much slower the pace would have been to get those extra 25 laps out of each set at the end.

It was great even with Hamlin winning, but it was still a sh** show. Tire wear is great. There should be fall of. A lot. But they shouldn't be literally flat after less than 50 laps at Bristol, no matter how good it made the racing otherwise.

Regardless they should at the least re-evaluate the number of sets allocated. It DID make for some good sh**. Just kind of a sh**show at the same time.

Wilkesboro for example was similar with quick wear etc, but they at least had enough tires to know they could for sure complete the race Safely and still require some strategy.

10. That was what short track racing back in the day was all about. Tire management

54 lead changes. At Bristol. Unreal man

10. With a little tweak to make it even better, NASCAR and Goodyear might have found something for the short tracks.

Sucks seeing the negative reactions to this race on social media. Geez, what more do you want lol

Denny said he had no tire issues after he blew. He changed his line to preserve tire life.

9. I was very impressed with the drivers not spinning when they had to deal with shredding tires. All the green flag pitstops near the end was exciting.
