That's a combination of the aerodynamic physics not accurately portraying the air bubble caused by riding near the wall, and the race being run with stock settings for everyone. Most everyone loved the IROC-style setup but the high line will never come into play unless they allow the drivers to make adjustments to their cars (tire pressures, shocks, springs, trackbar, etc).

It was a fun race, atta boys to FOX and Nascar for making this happen. I am not a gamer, not even a little bit, but the graphics were dang sure good and the sound was right on.
Finally this morning I watched it from my DVR. (see hunting thread for why it took this long for me to watch)
