RIP. He was one of the greats of MotoGP. His 4-wheel career was perhaps a bit of an afterthought, but still was excellent. His 2-wheel accomplishments were extraordinary.

Godspeed John Surtees. There are no highsides in heaven, and no oil on the track, so you'll be out front where you belong.

Raced in F1 and raced TT's on two wheels back when death was sort have expected and safety was non-existent.

Surtees was certainly quite the individual and its sad to see that his son has been dead for as well after his unfortunate accident.

Phenomenal driver and person, its sad to see he was never rightfully knighted, but Surtees is quite the legend in every racing fans eyes.
