Johnson said at a news conference at Watkins Glen International on Friday that he was angered by Busch's remarks after their argument in the pits.

"When he got out of the car, we're talking, and the crowd started to build and his bravery started to build," Johnson said. "I walk away and he keeps talking. That's the part that frustrates me. That's when you saw me engage like that. If you're going to say something, say it to a man's face.

"I don't know about you, but that really makes me mad. He just started running his mouth."

Jimmie is whining like there's no tomorrow. So, he turns left into Kurt's car, Kurt returns the favor. He approaches Kurt after the race.....he was expecting maybe something else? Maybe something along the lines of "oh, you're right Your Highness, I should never touch his majesty's car..."

Jeez Jimmy, stop yer whining!
 
I think Kurt was racing Jimmie like Jimmie was racing him
 
I get it now, after JJ approaches his car and spouts off then turns and walks away kb is to remain silient.....:sarcasm:
 
JJ hasn't handle it well this week, but Kurt is the biggest idiot in racing. The guy has a ton of talent that can't be denied, I can not fault his driving talents, he has great ability.

But I can't see why any corporate sponsor would want such a creepy jerk representing them. Maybe preparation H could make an association.

I am glad Spencer punched him, and that Rousch dropped him at the Phoenix race weekend a few years ago.


I wish Penske would fire him too, especially when he is crying over the radio and wanting to park the car.


I see JJ being a jerk for one week, but Kurt being one for life.
I am sure a few will disagree, he probably has at least 25 fans.

Kurt's always been that way. Kyle used to be the same, but he's starting to realize that being an ass hasn't got him a Cup championship. He still does dumbass things, but he's making an effort to mature.

Kurt -- he has had the best car for months now yet he's always bashing his team.

I don't think he has had the best car. He's had a good car, but lets face it, it is really a championship caliber car? That is where they should/need to be and I think he has the right to be mad at his team. They've made some bone head moves.

Kurt literally throws a hissy fit, cussing his team out for their terrible cars when he loses one position. Other drivers lose ten positions and give feedback on the car.

As I've stated before about the younger Busch, who's making progress in this department, telling your crew chief that everyone on the team sucks and the owner can't build good cars and you're gonna park the car does not tell anyone what's wrong with the car.

Based on the performance of the entire Penske Racing team since Charlotte, I'd say Kurt would be the favorite for the championship if he doesn't have a bad race. Again, it's something Kyle's gotten better at and Kurt hasn't. Used to be that one or two bad races and Kyle would have two or three bad months. It's always been that way with Kurt... when he runs well, he wins a ton of races in a month or two. A few bad races and he falls apart.

Tons of talent, but exactly like his younger brother (except his younger brother is making improvements in his attitude).

No, jimmy was wrong because he hit Kurts car first, and he approached Kurt first after the race. Jimmie is wrong because he seems to think that nobody is allowed to touch his car or talk back to him under any circumstance. And he seems to think this because he has five championships.

I think Kurt has come further than Kyle has thus far.

Yet, everytime Kyle does something, everyone else is wrong because Kyle wins a ton of races.

Go back and look at the numerous speeding ticket threads where people literally said it was acceptable for Kyle to drive 128mph in a school zone because he wins a ton of races.

Wake up Andy. This has absolutey nothing to do with Kyles speeding ticket. It has everything to do with what happened at Pocono this weekend.

100% agree, but it doesn't change what happened on the track. It also doesn't change JJ turning his back and then complaining that Kurt kept talking.

what a stupid statement. there isn't one person on this board that said it was acceptable for kyle to speed at all, much less at 128 mph. you stated it, you provide the imaginary post.

The difference between Kurt and JJ is obviously the COT wins and the Championships (Chase Championships). The other obvious difference is that Kurt has proven that he can win with a different team/manufacturer. It's my opinion that if anything ever happened that caused Knaus to leave HMS, Jimmie's success would be over. Derrike Cope could win in an HMS car crew-chiefed by Knaus.
The other difference between the two drivers is that I've actually seen footage of Kurt owning up to a dumb ass move. Jimmie, on the other hand has NEVER been wrong.

I don't know why I open threads about this topic anymore...I mean I have said it time and time again....the same people that say JJ is too "vanilla" say that now that he is showing some emotion JJ is "whinning." I mean give ma a break! I don't care who is in the wrong here, it is entertaining to see two drivers in a good ol fued! If the sport doesn't have fueds it suffers.

This is about how I'd put it. I saw the run in at Pocono, Jimmie did turn down on Kurt, Kurt gave Jimmie a swipe, race ends. No one was wrecked, no harm no foul in my book. No reason to continue it.

Now that's the only incident between these two that I've seen, but it clearly goes back further with them. I have to ask, is this another one of those "feuds" that started with the infamous "he never gives me any room" grievance? If so, all I can say there is get over it.
