Johnson,Busch feud keeps going

Should this be merged with mike honcho's thread? No big deal but this board is becoming a cluster **** of multiple threads on the same subjects. ;)

yeah, you're right. how do I do that? Maybe I could delete this anyway. Wasn't much to see.

Wrong and Wrong. I have seen JJ own up to stuff many times. And where did Derrick Cope win besides Daytona?

Blah Blah Blogger, hating on the success of a hard working guy named Jimmie Johnson.

Do you see what a good driver he is? Or do you just hate that he beats up on your mans dream?

I don't know how it's done. I think it's a Mod move.

As far as Kurt's news conference goes, I've been following it on Twitter. Not much was really being posted on it but it'll be up on YouTube soon.

One thing that Kurt did say that rings true IMO. He's in JJ's head. JJ, normally a quite, bland individual, now has something/someone else to think about. Not a good time, just about entering the Chase races, to make bigger enemies.

Calling all mods

Please delete this thread. Lets move this to the jj and Kurt feud thread.

Wake up Andy. This has absolutey nothing to do with Kyles speeding ticket. It has everything to do with what happened at Pocono this weekend.

But the again, leave it to Andy to bring Kyle into a thread that has nothing at all to do with him.

what a stupid statement. there isn't one person on this board that said it was acceptable for kyle to speed at all, much less at 128 mph. you stated it, you provide the imaginary post.

Yep I don't recall anyone saying it was ok, and what does that have to do with JJ and Kurt yapping at each other?

Here:

And I still stand by my stance. Gearheads driving at ridiculous speeds on country roads has been around since the car was invented, and will continue long after we're dead and gone (provided there are still cars then.)

But, since it's Kyle in this case, he apparently should be flogged, dragged and quartered, keel-hauled, and last but not least, banned from NASCAR.

No doubt. Where's the bash thread for Junior Johnson for speeding around the countryside, hauling moonshine and evading the police??

If you look at the area via Google Earth, it's pretty rural and unpopulated. Looks like a pretty common area for a cop to be sitting there with a radar gun. It's not like he was doing 128mph in the mall parking lot.

Shoulda coulda woulda. The point is that no harm was done accept to Kyle's pocketbook.

You DO realize that racers are used to driving at high speeds and staying on top of what's going on? This wasn't your average inexperienced teenager speeding down the road. While he could have hit something or someone, it's WAY less likely to happen with someone with his experience.

Oh good lord, seriously. This whole "he coulda killed somebody" crap is just that...crap. Melodramatic BS.

Y'all Kyle Busch haters need to get over yourselves. Continue to boo him, continue to hate him, whatever. But realize that speeding down an empty county road in a car that's made for it nothing more than that, and something that thousands of car guys have done over they years. Some get busted, some don't.

Jeez, bunch of panzy-assed, self-righteous whiners on this board.

AT: Gordon Fan

RIGHT ON MAN! THey hate him that way, they hate him this way.

THEY JUST DON'T LIKE IT WHEN THEIR GUYS DREAM GETS BEAT DOWN BY THE 48.

SUCK IT SUCKERS!

Now THAT'S have at it! ;)

I like JJ more than I do Kurt, but that's starting to change because of Kurts attitude toward racing contact. The 'pyramid of respect' racing we've been watching, or trying to watch, is killing me. I don't blame 5 time for resisting change, but it's for the best.

JJ sure is making this personal, and that plays right into Kurts hands.

YAY Andy! Not only do you misinterpret what others say, but you bring up a months old thread that has absolutely nothing, and i mean absolutely nothing to do with the current thread.

Do you have T.A.D.D or something? (thread attention deficit disorder)
Stick to the pint Andy!!!

From this morning. link

Kurt Busch took his turn at the Watkins Glen media center podium on Saturday morning and had a chance to respond to Jimmie Johnson's harsh comments about Busch on Friday.

The back-and-forth between the drivers was more fallout from an incident at Pocono between Busch and Johnson. Busch defended his on-track actions and said he was "putting the 'r' (as in 'rubbing') back in racing."

Here are Busch's comments:

Any response to what Jimmie Johnson said on Friday?

When you said Jimmie was in here, I didn't know if you meant Spencer or Johnson (smiles). It's one of those emotions points that boils over, and I felt like the way we raced each other on the track is what champions need to do. And that is to bring the cars home where they were running on track – third and fourth is where we were, and that's where we crossed the line at the start/finish line.

Where we raced each other with a juke and a jive and rubbing, that's racing. I was caught up in it this week, just following it. I talked to my dad about things, and my dad was like, 'Well, that's rubbin'. That's racin', son. That's how it works.'

He's the one that taught me a lot about racing and everything I've done in racing is to try to make him proud, and he's like, 'Rubbin' is racin'.'

I'm putting the 'r' back in 'racing.' Rubbing is racing.

How do you define the line for 'rubbing is racing' with Johnson?

For me, I think the line was when he swerved at us. I guess yesterday he said he was trying to break the draft. That's not a move of a five-time champion, that's the move of a guy that has had an issue with a guy like me.

We've raced each other hard, and I've been spun out and wrecked a few times. And we both know we look at each other very sternly. And that's great competition.

So that blends into 'rubbing is racing.' When you have a history with a guy, you don't just forget about it. I learned from one of the greats on how to keep a memory of who does you right and who does you wrong, and that was Jimmy Spencer. He taught me a lot.

What are your reactions to the way Johnson called you out?

That's great. It means I'm in his head, and if I'm in his head, then he's got to worry about us running through this Chase.

I've been through enough issues in my past to know where I need to be.

More on Johnson's reaction:

He was real amped up, and he felt like I did him wrong. To me, the response from people this week and our different race fans, they're like, 'That was exciting. That's what we want to see. That's the intensity and the passion our sport is built off of.'

This is a bunch of guys racing stock cars in the southeast. This isn't open-wheel racing where we're supposed to pass each other clean and be out front and leading by 10 seconds.

I'm far from being a Kyle Busch fan but this crap is getting old. It seems like almost every thread at some point turns into another Kyle Busch bashing thread or Kyle Busch defending thread. Maybe we can just create a new thread each week so we can profess our love or hate for Kyle. Perhaps it could be called the - 'Kyle Busch - Love Him or Hate Him - Week of ##/##/## - ##/##/##'.

I was asked to provide examples, which I did.

When Kyle does something wrong, the same people who are whining about Jimmie Johnson come to Kyle's defense because he wins a lot.

So, using the same logic that applies to every other thread on here: Kurt's 100% in the wrong because Jimmie wins a lot of races.

Apparently you misread everything. WTF does this have to do with Kyle, and why TF do you keep bringing him up???!!!

I'm not even going to try and explain how you misinterpreted what you used as an example, because it doesn't belong in this thread!!!!

Now go back to your room and keep staring at your Kyle Busch poster, because you obviously can't live with him.

Post of the day, right there :beerbang:

:XXROFL:Post that text or video link, this I gotta see...

Hear buddy. ON the scanner. And Im not going to waste my day digging it up so I can look good in your eyes.

JJ is all business when it comes to the car. He saves his chit chat for later, while Kurt is busy tearing his entire team a new A-HOLE

Exactly. What happened to beating him with the race car, Jimmy? Jimmy Johnson is half the driver Kurt Busch is!

Jimmie's pit crew beat him. First, the gas can stuck to the car. Then, JJ's crew chief told Jimmie to come to the pits for a pass through penalty. JJ did. Only it was supposed to to be a stop and go penalty. JJ had to come in again.

Not taking anything away from Kurt, but Jimmie had to pass a lot of cars today, not of his own fault.

You know it had to bug 5-time to no end to have to watch Bush's rear bumper cross the finish line first and then act like it didn't. :D

Kurt, Kyle and Carl passed a lot of (lapped) cars, too

Lead lap cars are not harder/easier to pass than lapped cars, especially if you're the leader and the guy you are passing is trying to stay on the lead lap.

That's not quite what I'm getting at. I say the cars get tougher to pass with each position you're trying to overtake.

Maybe that's not so much the case here, though. We all know the argument of Cup drivers in Cup equipment in a NNS race.
