Curtis Turner was pulled over several times. Maybe I should say, many times.

Once with a carload of friends, after dinner and drinks, he was giving them a ride in his car...Curtis was driving them around the old Daytona track which was half on the beach and half on the road. He had the sand flying during 1/2 of his run and the tires were squalling when he hit the asphalt for the other half.

When the officer pulled him over, the first question out of his mouth was, "Who the hell do you think your are, boy, -- Curtis Turner?"
Curtis answered, "Yes sir." and handed him his drivers license.
