"Michael Annett, who has been competing this season in the Sprint Cup Series with HScott Motorsports, will move to JRM’s No. 5 Chevrolet next season as well as his sponsor, Pilot Flying J.

"JRM is already scheduled to field full-time Xfinity entries in 2017 for Elliott Sadler, Justin Allgaier and William Byron. JRM will also field a part-time fifth entry with drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kasey Kahne."
More here.

Hmmm. I wonder if Harry Scott will be in Cup next year. He has one charter, no sponsors, and no drivers. I hope he has a plan up his sleeve.

Seems like a big step up for Pilot / Flying J . May be people to watch

Annett's father owns a Pilot distributorship or something like that. I don't think he has any ownership in Pilot overall. But that's why you see Pilot on all of Annett's rides. Rent-a-ride lives on.

Damn did Chase fully graduate from Xfin? No mention of him for the 5th part-time ride.

I wish both Bowman and Berry could get a full time competitive ride.

Also, I'm really hoping Harry Scott doesn't fold.

14 Cup affiliated teams for 12 spots if Bubba Wallace returns to the 6 & whatever Penske decides to do with the 12.

Matt Tifft announced full time next year for JGR.

How could he not fold? This year he had big bucks with 5-Hour Energy, had a good driver with a decent resume, a top-tier veteran crew chief (Steve Addington) and had the potential to get TV time as the media loves "the-little-team-that-could" storyline. Instead, this year has been an absolute dumpster fire. Three top-tens (two at plate tracks, the other at Bristol) and most finishes well outside the top 20...with big $$ and a driver that's supposedly great (Bowyer is overrated, imo, but certainly a greater talent in the field). They've been able to get as little media attention as one could possibly get in this sport. Total disappointment imo.

If you've got all the tools to succeed, you better not **** it up (paging Casey Atwood)...or else you are out in this sport. HScott totally **** the bed this year with a team that should've seen MAJOR gains over its past few years.

I know Junior is going with whoever can buy a ride but letting Bowman go is mind boggling.
The kid out drove KK and a few other good team drivers. He may be a good catch for Penske to take over the Wood Bros. Ride.

HScott really did not receive any Hendrick chassis this year. I'm actually disappointed in the team, but I think with the team relocating and such I don't think they are done yet.

I think Hendrick is not going to let the team fall to the waist side.

I remember Boywer talking about how small the team was going from, "30 engineers to 2 engineers at HScott compared to MWR."

So what did Harry Scott do with all the money? He had two sponsored cars, and both with charters (which brings in enhanced payouts compared to non-charter teams). Perhaps he just put the money in his pocket, rather than spending what is required to race competitively? Or did Bowyer put bushels of 5-Hour Energy money in his own pocket?

There were rumors about Bowman moving to HScott with Hendrick support, but I guess it was just a bunch of talk.

It was when all of that madness went on between Germain/TBR/Levine/Circle Sport went down. Guess I must have misread it.

Scott got some Hendrick chassis / body combos from SHR.

If engineering / preparation and the ability to make the correct changes in-race are as important as most of us think they are, my guess is that the problem was people power. That and the endless whining and crying coming from the ****pit. One would think a pre-pubescent girl was driving that car.

I don't get it . As often as we say "this is a team sport" some folks don't understand what that means . Doesn't matter the owner , the driver , the brand , the sponsor , the affiliation , first thing to need to win is the team . We've all seen Kasey Khane driving for HMS , and Kevin Harvick driving for RCR , Kenseth and Edwards driving for Roush. A hundred times we've seen a Logano change teams and start winning races . We've seen a Jimmie Johnson need to change pit crews and who knows how many other personnel get changed. We've seen a crew chief change effect the personality of a team , make them better or worse . Steve Addington has been both a hero and a goat , as have other crew chiefs . Just sayin , this is a tough sport and Harry Scott isn't the first owner to find that out .
