Kansas Predictions

He and Kyle both are in the race..let the whining begin. Austin Dillion too, bunch of big bullies beating up on the pooooor truck guys.

To be fair Kyle is in the truck race as a student.
He needs to learn the proper way to get around the Kansas track so he's going to have the truck series regulars school him.

Oh my :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Prefer to think of that race as TRD success. Somebody has to do the dishes.

But Denny really wheeled that thing, passed everything on the track with no drafting partners and one hand on the steering wheel, pretty sure he was texting and talking on the phone too :p

No argument here lol... Not sure whether to blame Brad's random spin or Jimmie's though. I'm leaning more toward Jimmie's.

If Brad had been trying to help his teammate like he should have been doing...pushing the 22 to a good finish... instead of trying to show everyone how relevant he is even laps down, I bet Logano wouldn't have been where he was when that wreck happened.

Brad probably would have tried to beat the leader to the finish line at Dega just to show the world he was better than everyone else that day even 6 laps down.

I don't think it is really a possibility. I think joey is a Clint bowyer/Jamie McMurray type driver. Will get a win here and there but will never be a legitimate championship contender.

I can appreciate that... I disagree .. but I can see why people would still be skeptical. He's still very young in his career and hasn't proved he can put a season together yet.. I think he'll be up there in the final four more than a few times in his career.

I can't agree or disagree with you. He has been very consistent and fast. Let's see how the rest of the regular season plays out first.

Honestly, Sliced, I think that is crap. I believe that Joey will contend this year, and win at least one Cup. I am impressed.

Been very busy with the NFL draft not to mention that pesky little thing called work. I noticed old Smolder Q'ed in the top ten, how in blazes did that happen????..:idunno:

Well, like I said before it's not that I don't think he can.. because I really do.. Im trying to be humble (for the most part) because I know it can turn around any time. I don't think it will.. but I'd rather just be happy he's got 2 wins already and the best driver rating average this year. Trying to take it one week at a time.. Even I know he hasn't shown the consistency it takes to be a champion yet. Although with the new system a bad run every couple races may not be as detrimental as it was before as long as you can win in the next couple weeks. Really though the only inconsistency has been with parts.. he has been running in the top 5 and leading laps in every race but one. The only times he finished outside the top 10 were parts failures and an 11th at Daytona. The worst he's run really was at Darlington where he ended up looking like about a 10th place car before a hub failure. In comparing to last year that's actually even better than I thought because Darlington was easily their worst track last year other than Richmond 2 when it came to where they ran. Last year they ran to a 23rd at Darlington and that was when Todd Gordon was suspended.

Maybe I should be a bit more ****y? Lol I mean I was ****y as ever when he wasn't even running well now I have all this ammo and Im leavin it on the shelf. Lol That's alright though I'll wait until the war to bring the big guns out. (not a bad metaphor eh?) lol

That being said, I expect him to contend for the win again tonight. Starting second... hopefully he can get by the 4 at the flag. The best thing right now is seeing them come off the truck fast and never doing that great in practice but jumping out there fast every time in qualifying and leading laps, and making the car better in the race... Joey is in the top 5 for every stat involved in driver rating. (Starting position, laps lead, fast laps early, fast laps late, quality passes, finishing position). He's on track to lead more this year than he did in his entire career before this year. Already has more laps lead this year than he did at JGR in 4 years.

How did this become a rant? Lol

Oh well at least my 2014 rants are few and far in between and full of stats and facts instead of speculation and expectations.

End of rant. :D

GO JOEY!!

I know I razz you about swagger and stuff, but I'm really serious when I say that Joey has turned a corner. Last night showed me more evidence that he is here to stay. Yup, I said last night. He is now the kind of driver that will be fast regardless of what he is in. He has absolutely mastered the qualifying thing which is as much as balls as it is set ups. The guy is on it.

Im not sure what happened at the end there.. he was coming fast and stalled out at 3rd.. probably the slightly older tires and how hard he had to run to get there as fast as he did. I wasn't sure he'd come back from that unfortunate timing of the yellow.. I was impressed but I would have liked to see him get his first truck win.

Said that his truck was good in traffic but slow in straight line speed. He was fine in traffic, but once he lost any sort of tow, he was screwed. The dude walks and talks like a winner. I'm calling it right now--Joey in the Final 4 in Homestead. Done. Now you don't have to call it. LOL. I believe this BTW.:booya:

I did notice he was faster in the corner but Kyle was gaining more on the straights. Knew it was only a matter of time until he got to him, getting by is usually a different story but Norm Benning made it easy for him... still not sure how that worked the air works differently around these trucks I think.

Kansas Predictions?.....I will be looking to see if my TRD Toyotas can get to the front. Honestly, based on the speed that they have shown this weekend, any sort of Top 10 would be a stretch. If they race as bad as Practice and Qualifying, this is going to be a brutal year. Gonna be hard to enough speed to catch up.

My bad. If you would have just posted in large bold print, "Joey's is gonna own the world!" I wouldn't have had to convince you. LOL
:D

I've done that for too long... now I prefer to sit back and watch em squirm. Its the best on race day.. my Dad is a Stewart fan :) Needless to say he probably wishes I didn't go there for races lol not yet this year anyway.

i'm thinking newman or kahne....just not sure how long the
Go48Smiley_zps2a0fd595.gif
can go winless.
