Goodyear Racing Notes: Kansas Speedway​

Teams in both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series will run familiar Goodyear Racing Eagle tire setups at Kansas Speedway this weekend.

Goodyear introduced new right-side tires for both series at last year’s fall Kansas race, featuring construction changes aimed at increasing strategy options. The same tire setups return for this weekend’s event, and were more recently used by both series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in March. The Cup Series also ran this setup at Darlington Raceway for the Goodyear 400.

“We introduced new right-side Goodyear Racing Eagle tires last fall, which help give teams different strategy options as the race unfolds,” said Rick Heinrich, Goodyear NASCAR product manager. “This will already be the third time Cup Series teams have run this setup in 2026, so they come to Kansas with valuable data under their belts.”

O’Reilly Auto Parts Series teams will also use inner liners at Kansas, as is customary on tracks 1-mile and longer.

Goodyear Racing Eagle tires are also in action this weekend in Italy for the first round of the FIA World Endurance Championship – Sunday’s 6 Hours of Imola – and in the opening round of the British Touring Car Championship at Donington Park.
