Kasey K dont sound too happy

I am a big Evernham fan, and I normally agree with most of what he says..but my question here is Kahne is owed an apology for WHAT exactly?

Probably for the crew member, who Kahne would not name, saying that Kahne needs to start doing his part. My question is how is he not doing his part? He's taken some really crappy cars to good finishes on some races no thanks to the pieces of garbage at RPM.

The #9 car has always been the anchor for that team from Bill Elliott who started in that car, to the present, when Kahne took over for Bill. Evernham sold out to Gillett and then they merged with Petty. Now the #9 car is no longer the top team of that stable as AJ Almindinger is now ahead of Kahne in the points. Now it isn't as though AJ has been knocking them down all season, but he has been running very strong of late and Kahne has not. Kasey is 21st in points, the lowest he has been in years. Not sure what the problem is because they have said that all the Ford, Roush, Yates, RPM, are using the same brake fluid. With Kasey leaving the stable after this year, maybe he is trying to leave early. A change just might be good for him.

It's the "Lame Duck" syndrome. It's not Kasey, RPM is giving him old equipment. All teams do it when they know a driver is leaving at the end of the season. Teams don't want secrets passed along, new stuff destroyed, etc.... I have no problem with that, it's the norm, but they shouldn't act like Kahne is throwing in the towel when they are giving him sub par equipment. No way Kahne is wrecking cars on purpose and there have been a couple of races where the 9 team struggled all race, due to being given the old stuff, and ended up with decent finish because the CC had to throw stuff at it all race.
