Kasey Kahne pit road incident

So for ONCE Nascar didn't bend over for HMS. Deal wth it.

I didn't want to have to post that confirmation because I like to think that the system is fair towards all competitors but the numbers can't be disputed. It is what it is. They appear to be trying to drive Kasey out of the sport one rules infraction at a time.
Yep.

Good point, but I think folks are only contesting one event.
Which I will agree is Nitpicky, his race sucked with or without the penalty being discussed.

It is just a no new news day topic for me, a little time killing.

Go back to babes on beaches.com Greg we'll hold down the fort.

I strongly disagree.
Oh you think NASCAR doesn't cut it's most popular driver some slack? Let's start off with the debris caution last week when Jr went a lap down then calling the caution AS SOON as a car got a little out of shape on tri oval (a la 2007) and go from there. Then go to his second to last michigan victory where he kept passing the pace car & NASCAR kept slapping him on the wrist like a baby.

I guess the greater point is that NASCAR wasn't willing to look at the situation and make the call objectively. They enforced the rule, even though he was speeding for the purpose of avoiding a wreck. Drivers have come down put road speeding to avoid crashes in the past, and aren't penalized for it. Furthermore I highly doubt that speeding infraction gave him an unfair competitive advantage over the field. Just my two cents though

One thing about this thread. Rules are black and white, unless they're not. Seems like something always happens that first time that has never happened before, and sets a precedence or gives a reason to modify said rule.

Yep. If this doesn't work, Brian will flash his breasts at Kasey ever chance he gets. The kid doesn't stand a chance.

NASCAR proved during the Nationwide race they make correct and consistent judgment calls. I think NASCAR needs to be in another position to make judgment calls.

I'm not particularly sure why I'm even responding to this, but I will respect your opinion and consider it in future debates. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Have we ever seen an official rule from NASCAR?

Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine. There wouldn't be so many questions about this sport if they'd just provide us with the answer book.
I know, we been bitchin about the lack of the rule books accessibility for years. Maybe It's comin soon to a neighborhood near you.

Though I feel like they Nascar should have reviewed the call like in the NFL, (he had no choice but to speed-up) it always seems to me that Kasey has a black cloud hanging over him. Seems to have lots of talent, but sometimes even when you're good you need a little luck.

Any driver that makes disparaging remarks about breasts shall suffer from actions detrimental to stock car racing.

Rule 12-1 in the somewhat secret-but-not NASCAR rulebook simply states that a driver can face appealable penalties for actions detrimental to stock car racing.
