Lol At the haters in here. You're competing to win. It was past time for his crew to **** or get off the pot. There should be no tolerance for consistent subpar performance at that organization's level.
Who's harder to replace? Kevin Harvick or the guy changing the tires?
Now you're being a dunce. There are maybe 25 guys in the whole world with the skill to win right now in Sprint Cup. There are millions of guys who could be trained to be a good pit crew member.Honestly, they're probably on equal footing. I bet a driver like Dillon, Larson, Chase Elliot would love to be able to drive for Stewart-Haas and learn from drivers like Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch and I think Mark Martin is working for that team as a coach. I mean let's not delude ourselves into thinking that Harvick is some irreplaceable golden boy. There's a reason NASCAR is a "right to work" company, because there's always someone willing to take over your ride. Whether it's be someone from Nationwide, Trucks, or K&N.
Still clinging to that one speeding penalty at Pocono, I see. Pathetic.I think the pit crew should have fired Harvik He's made his share of mistakes too

but they're not exactly going to be friendly with you in the garage either.
Oh gosh. And we all know that race car drivers became race car drivers to make friends.
I dunno. Are football and baseball team sports? You've never played on team sports, have you?

Racing is 99.5% of the time a solo sport. The pit crew has about 60 seconds of work to do during a three hour race. They don't have to like the driver to change the tires. So you should understand how important team dynamic is and how players being able to "mesh" with one another is an important factor. A team like the Carolina Panthers may go with a WR whose a second slower, but he meshes well with the QB and how the QB plays the game. The most common theory as to why Steve Smith was let go from the Panthers is that he no longer meshed with the team.
The same applies in NASCAR and Stock Car racing in general. A team has to mesh, they have to gel. How long do you think a team is going to mesh if one of the players keep dissing and bad mouthing the other team mates on national television?

At the end of the day, one man (or Danica) plays the biggest role in where the car ends up on the leaderboard.Well okay then, I guess Crew Chiefs and spotters are not needed anymore, neither are the garage people. I bet NASCAR could save a lot of money by firing those people since 99.5% of the time, it's a solo sport.

Pretty sure I didn't say that, but you're sure good at the straw man fallacy.I guess we can fire the Over the Wall crew as well, since now only the driver is needed.
My boss doesn't sign my paychecks.Come back to me when you have proof that Kevin Harvick signs their paychecks. Whoever signs the paycheck is the boss. Until you can prove that, Kevin Harvick is just a teammate (and a bad one at that) on that particular racing team.
Still clinging to that one speeding penalty at Pocono, I see. Pathetic.
It clearly isn't doing them much goodGood plan. Now they need to see if the 11 team will swap air guns.
My boss doesn't sign my paychecks.
if that what it takes for Kevin to win a championship, have at it. I have been waiting a long time for him to win one. IMO he should have one already with RCR. it can't always be the pit crews fault, some times the driver has to carry the team. it can't always be the crew carrying the driver. It still is before the chase...

Are you drinking tonight? Harvick is an elite driver. It's a whole lot harder to replace him than it is to replace a crew member.
Penske let Kurt go because he was a pain in the ass, and didn't play well with others. Are you drinking tonight? Harvick is an elite driver. It's a whole lot harder to replace him than it is to replace a crew member.
Have you watched Mayfield in the KOMA modifieds? They came to my local short track, and Mayfeild almost lapped the field. Then didn't take any tires for whatever reason and finished almost last.Replacing the pure talent, yea, but replacing a body with another body, not so much. If a driver gets troublesome enough, he'll be fired.
IE Tim Richmond and maybe Jeremy Mayfield. Of course watching Mayfield performance in the KOMA Modifieds, he may just have sucked in NASCAR.

And i don't get his "J2 Mayfield" moniker now.
My wife pointed out some of the people hanging around his crew looked pretty sketchy. Who really knows.I bet the meth he doesn't use was hidden in those tires.

Didn't mean to derail the thread
Lest they turn around, I shall render no total quality evaluations.

Not sure about that, they got benched just before the playoffs or the NCAA sweet 16, I mean the Fall Madness...... and now get to pit for a non qualifier.I bet there's some tears of joy flowing from Kevin's old crew, and a general feeling of "Oh, sh!t" flowing through his new one.

Dream? Aren't dreams like that called nightmares?
I don't follow your thinking. Anyone who has been watching KNOWS what the problem is on the 4 team, and it isn't Kevin.
Well no.
Look, all I'm saying is that Kevin is a talented driver, but that doesn't give you a blank check to treat your teammates like complete **** and throw them under the bus every time you have a bad night. It's even worse when he does it on national television. That's not being a good driver, it's not being a good representative of your team, and it's not being a good teammate. All you're doing when you do that is just showing that you're a prima donna little bitch.
I thought he's been rather patient about the whole thing.
Fall madness. I like it.
