Knockout Qualifying - Martinsville

All JGR cars in the Top 10, and the front row is all TRD baby!!! BOOM!

Who knew this post was coming:eek:

Congrats, we'll see how long it takes for JJ and JG to get up there and it should make for an awesome battle.

Longer than it takes for people to blow about Penske being on the front row :)

I love this video. Kyle is trying to turn JJ, and JJ is driving with one had and giving Kyle the finger. lol
Seems like it's almost impossible to turn JJ at martinsville

That race is honestly where I lost respect for JJ. Gordon did all he could to race him clean till about 4 to go & JJ just used Gordon as a leaning post. Then the way he raced Gordon at Texas & Dega a few years back just pissed me off & where I considered Johnson a non-teammate

You know I was thinking about this last night. Ever since Gordon came to Nascar, he's always seemed to be 'victimized' by someone. First it was Earnhardt, then Wallace, then Stewart, then Johnson, then Kenseth, now Bowyer and I'm sure there are some in between.

Gordon has done his share of knocking cars around and if anyone is keeping an unbiased scorecard, I'd wager that he's winning.

When you're the best, you always have a rival.

I have no intention of getting into that battle as it's been done to death but for 99% of his career, Gordon has been one of the top 3 - if not top 2 - drivers, IMO.

I've never seen some of the legends race in their prime so I can't talk about them but from I've seen, there's only been 2 or 3 drivers that can hang with him.

I know for a fact that Gordon races old school. When he was a rookie and a younger racer, guys like Earnhardt, Wallace and even DW roughed him up and rattled his cage. Gordon does the same to the newer drivers and he said he raced Clint harder than the other guys when he first came to cup & Clint always resented him for it. Some of these new guys get their panties in a wad if they get the chrome horn. So I guess some guys take offense to being raced like that by a 4 time champ.

I don't know where you're getting this victim BS. Did you throw that in there for artistic license?

Gordon has always been a pretty clean driver for the most part. He races people the way they race him.
All the drivers you mentioned have pushed Gordon around on the track to some degree at some point or another, and Gordon raced them the same way in return.

I could name you specific incident of that with each of the drivers you mentioned except Earnhardt.
As bad a rep as he had I don't recall him ever pushing Gordon around on the track.

I wasn't talking about Gordon seeing himself as a victim as I'd imagine that he'd readily admit that he has started a few dust-ups over the years.

I'd say Gordon will go from 5th to 3rd inside of 5 laps.

The outside is completely worthless at Martinsville. He's definitely going to take 4th away going into turn one. 3rd will be tricky depending on if Hamlin is fast enough getting down to the inside.
