Kroger 250 Race Thread --TRUCKS !

Why did so few people stay for the Trucks race? They were already at the track.

Majority were probably Cup fans and have no clue who races in the truck series and could care less.

Plus they need to get home for work and school on monday.

A lot of people stayed for the early part of the truck race, more than I expected to at least though a lot of them were probably just waiting on traffic to clear out.

By the halfway point of the truck race it got pretty cold up in the stands. I can deal with 40 degree weather with the best of them but without the sun it started to get a little rough. Fingers started going numb (along with my butt, even with the ass pad I brought to sit on). By the end of the race it was mostly just the hardcore fans left, the section I was sitting in had pretty much cleared out.

My buddy went with me and he wanted to leave with about 60 laps to go in the truck race. I talked him out of it but he almost convinced me. It was cold and we'd run out of beer by that point. He was also worried about missing the season finale of The Walking Dead which came on last night at 9pm.

If it would have been warmer I think a lot more people would have stayed for the end of the double header. I know a lot of people left the stands to go watch it in their campers. Lots of people were cooking out when we left.

Good solid run for Caleb Holman. it's pretty much just him and his dad preparing those trucks. If that 23 could drive Caleb woulda easily put it in the top 15

I had a good friend at the race, he stayed for the trucks ---he wrote this ---
I left. I was dressed for a race, not to sit on a deer stand in the height of winter. Sat there thinking I have all those insulated Hunting clothes at home and wished I had brought them. COLD and Wind Beaten. After hours in the misty rain the day before, I knew it was being recorded at home.
