NASCAR driver Kyle Busch was issued a speeding citation on April 29 in Denver on suspicion of traveling 60 mph in a 45 mph zone.

According to the police report, the stop happened in front of Beach’s Grocery. Busch said he thought the speed limit was 55 mph. The officer commented in the police report that Busch had a “disrespectful attitude.”

He was driving a Lexus sedan when he was stopped around 7:45 p.m.

This is not Busch’s first documented driving incident.

In 2006, he was ticketed for reckless driving after he “chirped” his tires while pulling out of a Richmond, Va., gas station and into a fast-food restaurant next door.

Busch was cited for careless and reckless driving and speeding in 2011 when he was stopped in Iredell County for going 128 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Busch released a statement after the 2011 stop, saying he was test driving a new sports car and got carried away.

He continued, "I went beyond the speed I should have been going on a public road. I apologize to the public, my fans, sponsors, and race teams for my lack of judgment.”

Not a big deal to me, im just curious if NASCAR will do anything or just give him a slap on the wrist.

He's a race car driver. What do you expect :p 60 in a 45 is normal

I really don't buy that Busch had a dispespectful attitude. Cops nowadays are on their high horses, rude as hell & take advantage of the power bestowed upon them. If you say anything besides "yes officer, no officer or I don't know officer", you're likely to get thrown in jail for resisting arrest.

Yawn.
Now, had he went all Ambrose the cop, then there would be a story here. Otherwise you simply have someone that wasn't thrilled about being pulled over for speeding. That would apply to about all of us I'd imagine.

totally agree. I remember my last ticket...I was not happy...ALMOST said "Dont you have something better to do, like catch actual criminals?" (I was doing 120 km.hr in a 100 zone)

If you don't speed in California then you will probably get ran over.

YES!!!! Rowdy's back! Well, kind of....60 in a 45? Well, that's a start! No more goody two shoes! YES!!! He's a bad mofo!!!!!

No I thought it was interesting to see the "almighty" Kyle Busch get caught speeding then have an attitude towards the cop. But I shouldn't expect him to act any differently though.

And no it's not that big of a deal, I just posted it since i didn't hear about it.

He may be older, but he's still a punk/cry baby.

The "new Kyle Busch" just spiraled down the drain :( This is horrible news........................ just horrible

lol Or if he had backed up on the road to avoid the cop getting to his car, then pushed the cruiser in to a ditch, that would be a story worth telling.

Non-story. People here regularly drive more than 15 mph over the speed limit. I don't know that anyone has a great attitude while receiving a speeding ticket. Perhaps the officer himself was having a bad day.

lol I know, right? 60 in a 45 is nothing even worth mentioning.

Now if he had been doing 128 in a 45, that would be just crazy, and show what a complete jackass he really is.

Cop probably saw it was Kyle Busch and pulled him over just to get a autograph, then told the media he was speeding and had an attitude to pretend he was actually doing his job instead of eating doughnuts
