Kyle Busch's Comments about Loudon

^^^ Plate racing is irrelevant to this conversation.

Reduced downforce on the front of the car (by rule) in clean air results in a decrease in aerodynamic grip. Turbulence from a leading car / cars further reduces it and you can only go so far with that before the car becomes undriveable.

That's the point made by Mispeedway15.

Exactly.

Like I said go to a sprint car dirt race and you'll see this to a tee, whenever there isn't a good cushion to grip up high it's simply a follow the pole sitter race

The key has to be how to make that TrackBite last longer so drivers can take risks out of the main groove the entire race

I don't think we are there in Nascar 2017. I see lots of trailing cars choosing to run the same line as the leader, even at multi-groove tracks, choosing to be in the dirtiest of dirty air. And I see lots of crashes and lots of spin-outs when cars run side-by-side. Loss of side force is what is causing that... not downforce. JMO.

Agree with this.

Aerodynamics is interesting to many observers of the racing sports. It is neither negative nor positive and conversations about it are not repetitive.
I have no interest in figuring out what NASCAR or any sanctioning body should do, other than to immediately discontinue the practice of acting upon the wishes of their ignorant fans.

Personally I think NASCAR executives should spend some time at short tracks and dirt tracks across the country to see what makes them so popular.

NASCAR takes tiny steps trying to do just that. The problem is the next race just happens so there is not time to check the results of many changes. Then some fool opens another bottle of scotch and it doesn't matter an more till next Monday morning.
Did you just call Brian a fool? :punkrocke

I enjoyed listening to Kyles comments ........... they made sense to me and helped me to understand what some of the problems really are

interesting if Doug Coby and Woody Pikat are duking it out. Now if they had picked the Loudon Road Course instead of the Charlotte track that would have been an awesome track in the chase. Elevation changes tons of passing zones just another f**kup on the schedule keep digging that grave.
