kyle cheating in trucks?

me too. but it isn't going to change anybodies mind. I can see why some get frustrated when a driver dominates, but that is that way in any series. Look at all the Johnson haters. It hasn't been happening this year, but like a bunch of parrots you hear it every Nationwide race. skuawk cup guy, not fair, squawk. Plenty of money to win in not only the races but winning the manufacturers championship. So you run your fastest horse whenever possible.

You can't tell us what to do. And also it wasn't the Busch series in the sixties.

The Nationwide Series was formerly known as the NASCAR Sportsman Division (1950-1967);NASCAR Late Model Sportsman Division (1968-1981); NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series (1982-1983); NASCAR Busch Grand National Series (1984-1994);NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division (1995-2003); NASCAR Busch Series(2004-2007).
Where the f.ck do you get me telling anyone what to do? It was the Sportsman Series that became the series sponcored buy Bud/Busch from 1982 thru 2007. WELL EXCUSE ME.

Besides when the truck series started it wasn't filled up-and-coming drivers it was filled by Cup drivers that were on their way out of the sport.

I've been watching Nationwide (then Busch) since the 60s and then Winston Cup drivers used to race in the Busch all the time so seeing Sprint cup guys race in lower teared series has been going on forever so chill out folks.
Myth.

Times change, TV deals and sponsors, championships pay for the full timers, and owners championships pay the teams.

"One thing I realize though, and that's if these guys just raced themselves without racing the best, how good they are is going to plateau," Wallace said. "They need to race Kyle [Busch], Carl [Edwards], all these guys. We want to race against the Cup guys. We have to have them to put asses in the grandstand. We've just got to do whatever we do on a performance basis to help these young guys catch up to these other guys."

Ya know, I wonder how much these NW and Truck guys REALLY like the Cup guys competing against them. I know they all say they do, but I wonder how much of that is true and how much is just lip service. I'm not sure how watching the 22 and the 54 out of their windshield getting smaller is making these guys race better. And it doesn't look like attendance is all that great even with the Cup guys in the races.

BTW that chart is B.S. As an example, the very first race of what is now called Nationwide was full of cup drivers, Earnhardt won the race. Dale Jarrett and Harry Gant were also racing that day. Those names ring a bell? Probably not for most around here. Plenty of part time cup drivers were in the race also. What the B.S. chart has done is filter out the cup drivers who raced part time back in the day in both series. Get over it, it has been that way from the very first race. Charts and whining aren't changing the reality of what is. It isn't stick n ball, where most of ya are coming from in the first place. They do that THERE. Not in the racing world. They can go race go karts, many do, mini sprints, late models, sprint cars, Daytona prototypes, LMP's, Indycars. Freakin wake up. Sprint cup? look at the ten? Pastrana?, Carmichael"s short term run. You got the money and can qualify, you race, good or bad, your in.

Dale Jarrett didn't drive Cup at all until 1984 and didn't race Cup full-time until 1987.

Harry Gant raced a whopping total of four Busch Series races in the inaugural season.

Some of the comments on here are funny.

First, I wish NASCAR would start disqualifying people. There isn't a penalty in the world they have on their deterrence system that would affect Kyle at all.

Second, Kyle "has to cheat" to win Truck races? I can't stand Kyle but he's the best driver in that series and anyone who doubts that has hit their head too many times.

There will be plenty of whining tomorrow night. Kyle Busch in a truck as Bristol? Might as well start shining the trophy

That's cause, unless you are a fan of those drivers, you don't want to watch guys who are way more talented than the rest of the field and in better equipment beat up on less talented people.

It really is a joke. It's like if Tiger Woods in his prime tried to play on the 2nd level tour (not sure what it is called) or if Chris Paul tried to play in the NBA D-League on his off days or if Pedro Martinez pitched in AAA between his starts. So lame and the opposite of competitive.

I'm a Kyle Busch fan and I agree it's excessive. Trucks I don't have as big a problem because it's his team, but nationwide 25 times a year is getting old. He's not as bad as Penske when it comes to moonlighting (sending Brad K to Iowa). But he needs to cut back. 5-10 races a year seems fair to me. The easiest way to eliminate is make a rule where a driver can only earn owners points in one series. If they change the dumb owners points rule, the owners will put developmental drivers in those cars faster then Wily Coyote strapped to a rocket

I agree that he's the best driver in the truck series and I agree that he seem's to have to cheat in every series he races in. That's one of several reasons he should be kept out of both of the minor league's, period.

they are not going to change the owners points rule...get it? without that money spread amongst the teams, there probably wouldn't be a Nationwide series much less a truck series. Where the heck do you think the penalty money goes? into the owners points fund.

  • What happens to the money from the penalties?
As of 2008 all money collected from fines issued to driver/crew members go to the NASCAR Foundation for its charitable initiatives, before 2008 the money collected from driver/crew member penalties were generally placed into the Drivers Points Fund awarded at the end of the season.

I can't believe I'm defending any Cup driver but NBA doesn't play at the same arenas the d-league plays at......Same with NFL and MLB and NHL

Hell, maybe the other drivers should just start taking out the Cup drivers. Put them in the wall early and have a real race.
