Kyle Petty

You all amaze me. It is not wheter what Kyle did was a wussy hit or not it is the fact that NASCAR continues to dole out the most unequal punishment they can.

What damage is throwing a helmet going to do do to a 2-ton piece of metal or the driver? NONE!! Plus this was the done in the heat of the moment just like the Harvick/Montoya thing.

Petty on the other hand. Got out of his car hunted down a driver in HIS garage and then put his hands on the driver. This is not heat of the moment this was intentional yet no fine.
So, if it is done in the heat of the moment it is ok. Sounds like a funny basis for determining penalties.

Okay just so I am straight on this - Thorowing a helmet at a 2-ton piece of metal surrrounding a driver is a no-no but physically hitting a driver on his helmet is okay?? Glad NASCAR cleared that one up!!!

Both situations are entirely different. You obviously don't know the differences in any of these situations, maybe you should drop it.

No let him keep going. It is entertaining and it's a slow day.
The driver could over react to something at him and run into the wall, hit another competitor or even run over the throwee. How fast was Park going when he hit the wall and got injured?
As to Harvick/Montoya, so pushing and grabbing is not as bad as flicking down a visor. Yeah, maybe you should let it go. If you can't see that what they had going on was approaching white hot rage vs. Petty flicking a visor to add emphasis to the point he was trying to make then you'll never get it.
I bet you're the type that says it wasn't Denny's fault because it was an accident...
