Amen to that. I have been a Kyle fan for life. But then I was a huge fan of his father too. Pretty cool to watch his progress this year. He was actaully competitive in a few races before lousy pit strategy or execution kept him from actually winning a race or two.

Kyle kinda lost it at the end of the year. He very well could have gotten into the top 20. But 21rst in driver points and 23rd in owner points is not bad compared to last years 43rd in both. The 45 team has to be the most improved team of 2002. Congrats to Kyle on the fantastic year, just the last 3 races were bad. I can't wait to se his new hot rod at Daytona!!
I wish Kyle could have won one last time in what truely was Adam's car.

When 2003 comes around I am looking for 1 win, and a top 15 in points for the 45!!

Kyle had a good year overall, but he tailed of somwhat in the 2nd half of the season, not just the final few races. Consider:

1st half: 1871 points, 1 top-10, 12 top-20's
2nd half: 1630 points, no top-10's, 8 top-20's

I thought that was odd, because I figured he would do better in the 2nd half, and maybe contend for the top-15 this year. But he petered out instead. Not that it puts me against him, 'cause I think he can get into the top-15 next year, but who would have thunk it? Then again, maybe the fact that he was racing on Sundays instead of watching on TV wore him down a bit. :p :p j/k.
