No, but a 4th team is possible, as RFR is only fielding 3 cars now. Roush shouldn't wait too long to move Bayne up, it'd be a little weird if he were the 2011 Daytona 500 winner and the 2017 Rookie of the Year
True, but you never know what could develop between now and the end of the year.Lack of sponsorship has been a problem for RFR ,starting a fourth team without sponsorship would be disasterous .
....Maybe Bobby could buy Finch out and make himself a competitive ride (okay I'm dreaming)
Bobby 20th
AJ 32nd
So far the driver is out performing the car.
The 47 team is a 30-35 place team, the 51 is about a 15-25 place team, with some luck could possibly win a race. I really think these results tell us that the driver is not the issue in the 47.. AJ may not be great but he doesn't drive like Bobby, if there was more out of it speed wise, AJ would have gotten it.
I am going to wait until the race is over. It shows that Bobby has a faster car in qualifying. I think A.J. will try to carry the car, just like Kurt Bush did. I don't think A.J. can do the job Kurt did with a slower car, but I think he will finish better than when Bobby was driving the car. It is a Toyota expect an explosion.

I have no clue how you can come to this conclusion when in 2 practices and qualifying the 47 has been its usual awful self. The car is slower than half the field as usual, it qualified in the bottom third as usual and they are slower than Bobby in the 51. The only difference is that AJ will carry the car right into the wall. Bobby was making chicken salad out of chicken ****. Don't get me wrong, I think his best days have passed him by and you can see it in his restarts and driving style, but he is still a solid option with good equipment
I believe I pretty much have the same conclusion that you do? whats the problem

You say that AJ will finish better in the car than Bobby would, but from what we have seen all season and so far at Michigan it's beyond a tall order for that to happen. The cars performance has to changed since Daytona. AJ hasn't found more speed in the car, he didn't qualify any better, his times are consistent with what they were when Bobby ran the car. You premise if I am right is that because AJ is more of an aggressive driver he will finish better? Seems flawed to me......it's more likely that AJ doesn't take care of the car and burns off the tires or fails to bring the car back in one piece as opposed to him finishing better. We have absolutely no reason to think AJ is likely to have a better finish. His history and that teams history tells a complete opposite story.

Roush would already be fielding a fourth team if he could find the funding for it. #6 was his flagship from Day One.No, but a 4th team is possible, as RFR is only fielding 3 cars now. Winning the Daytona 500 has overrated since the CBS marketing department invented the phrase, "The Super Bowl of Racing", and especially since the restrictor plate was introduced. Look at the list of drivers with only one win and see how many of them got it a plate track.
I don't think we can compare AJ and Bobby or their cars based on Michigan. One might worry about Bobby's skills except that other, more recent champions also spun out in turn 2.
